  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Ready to return

Hughes (lower body) will return to the lineup against Nashville on Monday, Robby Stanley of NHL.com reports. Hughes will be back on the top pairing and first power-play unit after missing the last four games. He has accounted for one goal, six assists, 18 shots on net and six blocked shots through nine appearances this season. Hughes will probably replace Pierre-Olivier Joseph in Monday's lineup versus the Predators.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Not traveling to St. Louis

Hughes (lower body) won't travel with the team ahead of Thursday's game against St. Louis, Farhan Lalji of TSN reports. Hughes has missed the last two games due to his lower-body injury, and he'll be unavailable for a third consecutive matchup Thursday. However, general manager Patrik Allvin said Wednesday that he hopes Hughes will be able to join the team ahead of Saturday's game in Minnesota or Monday's matchup in Nashville.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Sitting out again Tuesday

Hughes (lower body) will remain sidelined for Tuesday's home matchup against the Rangers, per Canucks Army. Hughes will miss another game after sitting out his first of the season Sunday versus the Oilers. The severity of the 26-year-old blueliner's injury is unknown, but his next chance to return to the lineup will come Thursday in St. Louis. Marcus Pettersson will continue to skate next to Filip Hronek on the No. 1 pairing in Hughes' stead.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Won't play against Edmonton

Hughes is day-to-day with a lower-body injury and will not play versus the Oilers on Sunday, Ben Kuzma of Postmedia reports. Hughes may have been injured toward the end of Saturday's 4-3 loss to Montreal, as he received 26:25 of ice time in the game. The star defenseman will be replaced in the lineup Sunday by Victor Mancini, who will likely skate in a third-pairing role. Hughes' next chance to suit up will be in Tuesday's home matchup versus the Rangers.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Pair of points in win

Hughes scored a power-play goal on four shots and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Stars. Hughes' goal came from his own zone as he fired a quick shot that hit the net before Casey DeSmith could get to the Dallas bench for an extra attacker. This was Hughes' first multi-point effort in four outings this season. He had 24 such games in 2024-25 during a 16-goal, 76-point campaign. Hughes is at three points, 10 shots on net, four blocked shots and a minus-1 rating to begin 2025-26, but he'll receive plenty of ice time to push for maintaining a point-per-game pace.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Collects 60th helper

Hughes notched an assist and five shots on goal in Monday's 2-1 overtime win over the Sharks. Hughes reached the 60-assist mark for the fourth year in a row when he had the secondary helper on Jake DeBrusk's game-winner Monday. To get to that milestone, Hughes has surged late in the season with 13 helpers over his last 14 games. He's at a total of 76 points, 187 shots on net, 67 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating across 67 appearances this season.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Delivers power-play assist

Hughes notched a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Wild. Hughes helped out on a Jake DeBrusk tally in the second period. Over six games in April, Hughes has logged five assists, four of which have come on the power play. The star defenseman is up to 75 points (29 on the power play), 182 shots on net, 66 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 66 appearances. He'll finish above a point-per-game pace for the second year in a row, though Cale Makar is the obvious front-runner for the Norris Trophy in 2024-25.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Two more helpers Tuesday

Hughes registered two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Stars. Hughes had a helper on the Canucks' first and fifth goals in a chaotic third period. This was Hughes' third two-assist effort over the last six games, though he's been held off the scoresheet in the other three contests in that span. For the season, the superstar blueliner has 16 goals, 58 assists, 28 power-play points, 178 shots on net, 65 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 64 appearances.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Dishes two assists in win

Hughes logged two power-play assists in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Ducks. Hughes' helpers came on goals by Brock Boeser and Conor Garland during the Canucks' five-goal first period. Prior to Saturday, Hughes had been held off the scoresheet in the previous two contests, his first multi-game slump in over a month. The 25-year-old defenseman is up to 72 points (27 on the power play), 176 shots on net, 63 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 62 appearances this season. With six games left on the regular-season slate, Hughes could still take a run at the 80-point mark if he gets on a hot streak.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Earns pair of helpers

Hughes registered two assists, five shots on goal and two blocked shots in Friday's 7-6 shootout loss to the Blue Jackets. Hughes has gotten on the scoresheet in eight of his last nine games, earning two goals and eight assists in that span. The 25-year-old defenseman is up to 70 points, 172 shots on net, 58 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating through 59 appearances. Hughes is doing everything he can to help the Canucks' playoff push, so he should be locked into virtually all fantasy lineups down the stretch.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Extends point streak Thursday

Hughes tallied an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to St. Louis. Hughes came through for the Canucks when they needed him most by helping set up the game-tying goal with four seconds left in regulation. With the helper, Hughes reached the half-century mark on the season and is up to 66 total points across 55 appearances. The 25-year-old blueliner also has a five-game point streak since his return from an undisclosed injury -- he was held off the scoresheet and went minus-6 in back-to-back outings prior to missing four consecutive contests. While injuries have stymied his overall production, Hughes should still finish well above a point-per-game and contest for the 75-point mark by the end of the regular season.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Notches two helpers early in win

Hughes posted two assists, including one on the power play, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Jets. Hughes has five points (three on the power play) over four contests since returning from an undisclosed injury. He's also immediately resumed his workhorse role on the blue line as the Canucks' top defenseman. The 25-year-old is now at 65 points (25 on the power play), 150 shots on net, 52 blocked shots, 27 PIM and a plus-11 rating over 55 appearances.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Pots lone goal on power play

Hughes scored a power-play goal on five shots and went minus-2 in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Utah. Hughes' tally opened the scoring at 2:37 of the second period, but it was all the Canucks could muster on 19 shots against Karel Vejmelka. With two goals, one assist, seven shots on net and four blocked shots over his last three outings, Hughes has not missed a beat since a four-game absence due to an undisclosed injury. The star defenseman is up to 16 goals, 63 points, 150 shots on net, 50 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 53 appearances.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Finds twine Saturday

Hughes scored a goal and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Blackhawks. Hughes has a goal, an assist, three blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over two contests since returning from an undisclosed injury that cost him four games. The 25-year-old Hughes is up to 15 tallies, 62 points, 145 shots on net, 49 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating over 52 appearances. While his 2023-24 point total (92) is too far out of reach, Hughes could still match his 17-goal total from last season despite numerous injury absences.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Assist, heavy minutes in return

Hughes logged a power-play assist and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Flames. Hughes returned from a four-game absence and set up a Jake DeBrusk tally in the second period. If the Canucks were planning on easing Hughes back in, it didn't happen -- he led the team with 29:48 of ice time and had to pick up the slack when Elias Pettersson (upper body) exited the contest after the first period. It's unclear if Hughes is fully healthy or just managing his injury to help the Canucks' playoff push. The 25-year-old defenseman is up to 61 points (23 on the power play), 144 shots on net, 48 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 51 appearances.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Remains out Tuesday

Hughes (undisclosed) will not be in the lineup versus Montreal on Tuesday, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports. Head coach Rick Tocchet wouldn't rule Hughes out against the Flames on Wednesday, so he should probably be considered a game-time call for that contest. The defenseman is stuck in a six-game goal drought dating back to Jan. 25 versus Dallas. Filip Hronek figures to remain on the No. 1 power-play unit while Hughes is sidelined.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Won't play Wednesday

Hughes (undisclosed) will not be in the lineup against the Ducks on Wednesday, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports. Hughes missed six games in February due to an injury and now finds himself back on the shelf. In his three appearances since returning from that issue, the 25-year-old blueliner managed just one point to go with seven shots, two blocks and one hit. Without Hughes in action, Tyler Myers figures to move up to the No. 1 power-play unit.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Considered day-to-day

Hughes (undisclosed) had a maintenance day Sunday, and the Canucks will see how he feels each day ahead of Wednesday's game against the Ducks, Ben Kuzma of Postmedia reports. Hughes tweaked something during Saturday's game against the Kraken, but head coach Rick Tocchet said Sunday that it wasn't related to his previous oblique injury. The Canucks will have a day off Monday before practicing Tuesday, and Hughes' level of participation in practice could provide an indication of whether the team expects him to play Wednesday.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Injury concerns re-emerge

Hughes "tweaked something" late in Saturday's game versus the Kraken and is set to be evaluated Sunday, per head coach Rick Tocchet. Hughes didn't play in the last part of the third period. He played 21:56 in Saturday's matchup, but his game was not in peak form, as he went minus-3 and didn't earn a point in the loss. Considering Hughes was just in his third game back after missing six due to an oblique injury, there are plenty of reasons for concern around the Canucks' captain. The good news is he has three days to rest the injury before the team begin a four-game homestand with Wednesday's contest versus the Ducks.

  • Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Sets up game-winner

Hughes recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kings. Hughes' availability for Wednesday's contest came down to a true game-time decision, but he was able to suit up as part of a seven-defensemen lineup. The 25-year-old was expected to be eased back into action after a six-game absence, but he still ended up with 21:38 of ice time. He was on the ice in a clutch moment, setting up Conor Garland's second goal of the game at 4:26 of overtime to secure the win. That helper got Hughes to the 60-point mark on the season, and he's added 138 shots on net, 44 blocked shots and a plus-16 rating through 48 appearances. A couple of injuries have likely ruined his chances of matching last season's 92-point output, but if he maintains his overall pace, he'll finish with the best points-per-game mark of his career, which is currently at 1.25.
