Flyers' Alex Bump: Gets second goal of postseason
Bump scored a goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Hurricanes in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference second round.
Bump's goal tied the game 2-2 in the third period. It was his second of the postseason; his first came in his playoff debut Oct. 27 against the Penguins. Bump was skating on the Flyers' top line due to Owen Tippett being out with an undisclosed injury. Like the Flyers' other young players, Bump gained some valuable playoff experience in the four-game sweep by the Canes, which bodes well for the team's chances next season and beyond. It remains to be seen where the winger will eventually slot into the lineup, especially with young guys like Porter Martone stepping into the lineup so quickly and effectively.

Flyers' Alex Bump: Scores first playoff goal
Bump scored a goal on four shots and added two hits in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Penguins in Game 5.
Bump made his postseason debut Monday, replacing Matvei Michkov in a third-line role. Considering the goal, it's tough to see Bump coming back out of the lineup for Game 6, though he's no lock to play in the future as one of a handful of rookie forwards on the Flyers' roster. Bump made a decent impression in the regular season with nine points, 23 shots on net and 16 hits over 17 contests.

Flyers' Alex Bump: Puts away goal in win
Bump scored a goal and added two hits in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens.
Bump had been a scratch for the previous two games, but he drew in after the Flyers made wholesale changes to the lineup following their clinching of a playoff spot Monday. The 22-year-old forward figures to be a part-time option at best in the playoffs. Bump has five goals, four assists, 23 shots on net, 16 hits and a plus-3 rating over 17 appearances this season.

Flyers' Alex Bump: Logs two points in limited minutes
Bump scored a goal, added an assist, blocked two shots and went plus-3 in Friday's 4-1 win over the Islanders.
Bump was a healthy scratch in the Flyers' previous two contests. With Denver Barkey and Porter Martone also on the roster in the midst of a playoff race, Bump will probably not be an everyday player to close out the campaign. He's done pretty well with four goals, four assists, 18 shots on net, eight hits and a plus-4 rating over his first 13 NHL appearances, but if he stays in a bottom-six role, his offense could falter.

Flyers' Alex Bump: Two-point effort Thursday
Bump produced a goal and an assist in Thursday's 5-1 win over Chicago.
The rookie winger opened the scoring just 48 seconds into the first period after Spencer Knight turned the puck over behind his own net. Bump, a fifth-round pick in 2022, had a breakout season at AHL Lehigh Valley with 11 goals and 26 points in 36 games, and he's carried that momentum with him into his first look at the NHL, collecting three goals and six points in his first 10 games for the Flyers.

Flyers' Alex Bump: Second goal of career
Bump scored a goal in Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Blue Jackets.
Bump has played five games at the NHL level this season and has three points already while posting a plus-1 rating. The 22-year-old winger might have some upside as long as he stays in a top-six role, but as a rookie, expect some ups and downs on a game-to-game basis. He seems to have a keen eye for goal, though, with two goals on his first eight shots in the NHL.

Flyers' Alex Bump: Recalled from AHL Lehigh Valley
Bump was called up from AHL Lehigh Valley on Saturday, per the NHL media site.
The Flyers have 11 healthy forwards with Travis Konecny (upper body) questionable for Saturday's tilt in Pittsburgh after missing the last three games. Bump, who has 11 goals and 15 assists in 36 AHL contests this season, could make his NHL debut if Konecny is unable to play.

Bump scored two goals in AHL Lehigh Valley's 6-4 win over Hershey on Saturday.
Bump missed over a month of action recently, but he's starting to get his rhythm back. He's scored three goals over his last two games. For the season, the 22-year-old forward has 10 goals, 23 points, 105 shots on net and a plus-1 rating. If the Flyers fall out of playoff contention early, Bump could get a chance for his NHL debut late this season.

Bump scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Lehigh Valley's 7-3 win over Springfield on Friday.
This was Bump's first three-point effort of the season. He's at four goals, 11 points, 37 shots on net and a plus-2 rating through 13 contests overall. The 21-year-old forward seems to be adjusting just fine in his first full professional season, and it doesn't seem like it'll take more than a couple more years before Bump is an option to help the NHL team on a regular basis.
