  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: In goal Tuesday

Skinner will guard the road goal against Dallas on Tuesday, according to Jamie Umbach of the Oilers' official site. Skinner will get the second half of Edmonton's back-to-back after Calvin Pickard plays in Monday's road matchup versus the Blues. The 27-year-old Skinner is coming off a 27-save performance in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over Chicago. He has a 4-3-2 record this season while stopping 208 of the 231 shots he has faced. Dallas sits 25th in the league with 2.67 goals per game this campaign.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Prevails in overtime

Skinner stopped 27 of 29 shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blackhawks. Skinner let two leads get away, but Evan Bouchard's tally at 2:43 of overtime gave the Oilers a win. This was Skinner's second win in three starts and the first time in four outings he's allowed fewer than three goals. The 27-year-old netminder is now at a 4-3-2 record with a 2.52 GAA and a .900 save percentage over nine appearances. The Oilers have a road back-to-back up next with games Monday in St. Louis and Tuesday in Dallas, so both Skinner and Calvin Pickard should start once in that stretch.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Gets starting nod Saturday

Skinner will tend the twine at home versus Chicago on Saturday, according to Tony Brar of Oilers TV. Skinner is 3-3-2 with a 2.59 GAA and an .896 save percentage across eight games this season. He gave up four goals on 35 shots Thursday in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Rangers. Chicago has picked up the pace offensively this season, averaging 3.27 goals per game after posting 2.73 goals per contest in the 2024-25 campaign.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Stumbles late in overtime loss

Skinner allowed four goals on 34 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Rangers. Skinner had a 3-1 lead to protect from midway in the second period, but the Rangers scored twice in a span of 3:46 in the third to wipe that advantage out. J.T. Miller then scored in overtime, putting four goals on Skinner's line for the first time in eight outings this season. The 26-year-old has gone 3-3-2 with a 2.59 GAA and an .896 save percentage so far, which is virtually textbook mediocrity. Skinner will keep seeing a majority of the starts since Calvin Pickard hasn't been any better. Skinner didn't start more than two games in a row during October, so it's unclear if he'll get the nod Saturday versus the Blackhawks.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Facing Rangers

Skinner will be between the home pipes against the Rangers on Thursday, according to Tony Brar of Oilers TV. Skinner has played well this season after getting off to poor starts in his last two seasons. He is 3-3-1 with a 2.41 GAA and an .898 save percentage over seven starts this season. The Rangers are 31st in NHL scoring, averaging 2.18 GAA per game, though they are much better scoring on the road, finding the back of the net 18 times in six games, compared to only six goals in five home appearances.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Straightens out after first period

Skinner stopped 20 of 23 shots in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Mammoth. Skinner allowed two of the three goals against in the first period. The Oilers came out with a cleaner performance in the final 40 minutes, and that helped Skinner limit the damage to a Barrett Hayton goal in that stretch while the Edmonton offense took over. Skinner is now 3-3-1 on the year with a 2.41 GAA and an .898 save percentage over seven outings. He's been the No. 1 for the Oilers so far, but his performance still isn't inspiring a ton of confidence. The Oilers' next game is a favorable home matchup Thursday versus the low-scoring Rangers.

Skinner has registered a 2-3-1 record with one shutout, a .903 save percentage and a 2.31 GAA over six appearances to begin 2025-26. • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Starting Saturday

Skinner will defend the road net against Seattle on Saturday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports. Skinner is coming off a 19-save effort in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over Ottawa. • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Gets 100th career win

Skinner made 21 saves Tuesday in a 3-2 overtime victory over Ottawa. It was Skinner's 100th NHL win. The Oilers will use patience with their netminder, who needs to keep working on his glove hand and the way he handles the puck. Skinner is working with a new goalie coach, and while he's just 2-2-1, he does have a solid 2.17 GAA. That's better than he's delivered in any season so far. We are keeping the faith.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Gets starting nod

Skinner will start Sunday's game against the Red Wings, Paige Martin of the Oilers' official site reports. Skinner will face a red-hot Red Wings team that's riding a four-game winning streak. The 26-year-old has allowed three goals in two of his three starts -- both losses -- and also has a shutout on the season. All told, the goaltender has a 1.97 GAA and .921 save percentage, a strong start to the campaign.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Starting again Thursday

Skinner will guard the road goal versus the Islanders on Thursday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports. Skinner shut out the Rangers on Tuesday, so it's not a surprise he'll be rewarded with a second straight start. Calvin Pickard is also in the mix, but if Skinner gets on a good run of play, he'll likely continue to handle a starting role. The Islanders have struggled a bit early on, scoring just seven goals over their first three games.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Blanks Blueshirts on Broadway

Skinner turned aside all 30 shots he faced in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Rangers. The 26-year-old netminder was especially busy in the third period, kicking out 13 shots. New York tried desperately to find an equalizer before Adam Henrique put the game out of reach with an empty-netter. It was an impressive showing from Skinner after he got stuck with an OT loss in the Oilers' season opener last Wednesday. He's allowed three goals on 52 shots to begin the campaign. Skinner needs to improve his consistency to lock down the top spot in the Edmonton crease.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: In goal Wednesday

Skinner will get the starting nod at home versus the Flames on Wednesday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports. Skinner has reached the 50-game mark in each of his previous three seasons and figures to do so again in 2025-26. Despite the heavy workload, the 26-year-old backstop has just one 30-win campaign, though with the team around him, he should be in the mix to reach that threshold again this year.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Returns to practice Sunday

Skinner (flu) worked as the Oilers' top netminder during Sunday's practice session, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports. Skinner missed Friday's preseason game against the Canucks, but his role during Sunday's practice suggests that he's moved past his illness ahead of the regular season. It seems likely that Skinner will be in net for Wednesday's Opening Night matchup against Calgary.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Unavailable Friday

Skinner (flu) will miss Friday's preseason game against Vancouver, per the NHL media site. Skinner was initially scheduled to start against the Canucks, but Calvin Pickard will play between the pipes instead. The 26-year-old Skinner should still be in net for Edmonton's regular-season opener against Calgary on Wednesday, provided he's healthy in time for that clash.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Starting preseason finale

Skinner will tend the twine on the road versus Vancouver on Friday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports. Skinner will get one final tune-up before Opening Night versus the Flames on Oct. 8. The 26-year-old backstop has featured in at least 50 games in each of the last three seasons but has only reached the 30-win mark once during that stretch. While his GAA last season remained below three (2.81), it marked a career worst for the Edmonton native.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Scheduled to start Sunday

Skinner is expected to start Sunday's exhibition game versus the Canucks. The plan is for Skinner to play all three periods in Sunday's tune-up game against a divisional foe. The 26-year-old conceded three goals on 18 shots in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Kraken. Skinner posted a 26-18-4 record with three shutouts, an .896 save percentage and a 2.81 GAA over 51 regular-season outings in 2024-25.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Gets nod Wednesday

Skinner is expected to get the home start for Wednesday's preseason game against Seattle. Samuel Jonsson will serve as Skinner's understudy, and the duo might end up splitting the workload given that this is an early preseason game. Skinner is expected to start the campaign as Edmonton's clear No. 1 goaltender and will likely get more than 50 regular-season appearances as long as he stays healthy.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Struggles continue in Cup loss

Skinner allowed three goals on 23 shots in a 5-1 loss to the Panthers in Game 6 on Tuesday. Two goals went into an empty net when the Oilers were trying to push for their first goal late in the third frame. Skinner has struggled to gain the faith of fans with a few too many beachball goals, and Tuesday was no different, especially with the first snipe. He finished the postseason with seven wins, a 2.99 GAA and an .889 save percentage in 15 starts.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Pulled again in Game 4

Skinner allowed three goals on 17 shots in the first period of Thursday's 5-4 overtime win over the Panthers in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Skinner was the only reason the Oilers were down 3-0 after the opening frame -- it could have been much worse. Nonetheless, head coach Kris Knoblauch elected to pull Skinner for the second game in a row, and Calvin Pickard was between the pipes for the Oilers' comeback. With three straight subpar efforts, it would be surprising to see Skinner between the pipes on home ice in Game 5 on Saturday, especially after Pickard stopped 22 of 23 shots Thursday.
