  • Sabres' Josh Norris: Scores in OT loss Saturday

Norris scored a goal on four shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canadiens. He also added a hit and two blocked shots. Norris opened the scoring with his second goal of the season, and now he's found the back of the net in two of the Habs' last three games. However, he logged just 14:30 of ice time and received only 44 seconds of power-play time, limiting his opportunities to contribute offensively. His recent scoring is encouraging, but the relatively modest workload could restrict his fantasy ceiling unless he starts to see more playing time on a regular basis. With just three points in Montreal's first nine games and currently skating as a bottom-six forward, however, Norris doesn't have a ton of upside outside of the deepest formats or the leagues that reward physical stats such as hits and blocked shots.

  • Sabres' Josh Norris: Good to go against Montreal

Norris (concussion) will be in the lineup against Montreal on Saturday, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports. Norris underwent concussion testing after Thursday's 5-4 overtime win over Toronto. He returned to the ice for Friday's optional practice and is good to go. Norris has one goal, one assist, eight shots on net, nine hits and five blocked shots in eight outings this season.

  • Sabres' Josh Norris: Enters concussion protocol

Norris entered concussion protocol Thursday after sustaining the injury versus the Maple Leafs, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports. Norris could be facing an absence depending on further tests. The 27-year-old will be at risk of missing Saturday's game versus the Canadiens at a minimum. If Jiri Kulich (undisclosed) is also out, Tyson Kovak would likely draw into the Sabres' lineup.

  • Sabres' Josh Norris: Puts away goal

Norris scored a goal, added two hits and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Canadiens. Norris has struggled a bit to start the year, which landed him on the fourth line in the last two games. Now that he's got a goal, he could start to get back on track. The veteran center has two points, eight shots on net, eight hits, four blocked shots, four PIM and a minus-1 rating over seven appearances. Norris is still an option in deeper leagues thanks to his spot on the second power-play unit, but better players will be available on the waiver wire in standard formats.

  • Sabres' Josh Norris: Deposits empty-netter

Norris scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added five hits and went plus-2 in Friday's 4-1 win over the Bruins in Game 6. Norris had missed the previous three games due to an undisclosed injury. With the empty-netter, the 26-year-old center has earned his first career playoff point, coming in his third postseason game. The center should continue to see middle-six minutes and power-play time if he can remain healthy. He was limited to 34 points, 69 shots on net, 24 hits, 27 blocked shots and 28 PIM over 44 regular-season outings.

Norris (undisclosed) will be available for Game 6 on Friday, per Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550. Norris has missed Buffalo's past three games due to the injury. He had 13 goals and 34 points in 44 regular-season appearances with the Sabres in 2025-26. Noah Ostlund is set to exit the lineup due to a lower-body injury, which coincides with Norris' expected return.

  • Sabres' Josh Norris: Might play Tuesday

Norris (undisclosed) could be an option for Game 5 versus the Bruins on Tuesday after head coach Lindy Ruff told reporters, "Norris is going to skate (Monday). He could be available." Norris has missed the Sabres' last two playoff contests due to his undisclosed injury. While he failed to produce a point in his first two postseason contests, the 26-year-old center had 13 goals and 21 assists in 44 regular-season outings this year. If Norris can return for Game 5, it would likely be in a middle-six role.

Norris logged an assist and three shots on goal in Friday's 3-2 win over the Panthers. This was Norris' second game back from an injury to his ribs. The 26-year-old has operated in a middle-six role since his return, as well as seeing power-play time. He has potential to put up strong offense for the Sabres, but he'll need to stay healthy to do so. He's earned 18 points, 31 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating over 21 appearances.

The talented, but injury-prone center, has six goals and 17 points in 19 games this season. He could return as early as Monday in Carolina.

  • Sabres' Josh Norris: Dealing with rib issue

Norris took a cross-check to the ribs that knocked him out of Wednesday's game versus the Flyers, and he'll be evaluated Thursday prior to the Sabres' game against the Canadiens, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports. This confirms Norris avoided a concussion as well as any additional damage to his shoulder, which has been a concern throughout his career. Norris is likely day-to-day at this point, though his evaluation Thursday will provide more information about his status.

  • Sabres' Josh Norris: Sustains upper-body injury

Norris (upper body) won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Flyers. Norris was hurt in the second period, though he was able to pick up an assist before his exit. With a lack of additional details, it's fair to be concerned about Norris' status, given his lengthy history of injuries, particularly of the upper-body variety. It's unclear if he'll be able to suit up in Thursday's game versus the Canadiens.
