Bauer's new deal is a two-way agreement in 2026-27 and a one-way pact in 2027-28. The 24-year-old blueliner had one goal, four assists and 110 PIM in 52 regular-season appearances for AHL Manitoba in 2025-26. He will probably begin the 2026-27 campaign in the minors.

Bauer logged two assists, 105 PIM and a minus-21 rating over 59 appearances with AHL Manitoba in 2024-25. The 2020 sixth-round selection has never appeared in an NHL game.
