Flyers' Helge Grans: Promoted to NHL
Grans was called up from AHL Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.
Grans was one of five Black Aces brought up by the Flyers on Wednesday. The 23-year-old blueliner shouldn't be expected to play in the postseason, but he will serve as an emergency depth option should the need arise. With the Phantoms this year, Grans racked up three goals and 11 helpers in 61 contests and could be under consideration for a spot on the Opening Night roster heading into the 2026-27 campaign.

Flyers' Helge Grans: Hits waiver wire
Grans was moved to waivers Monday, according to James Mirtle of The Athletic.

He had eight goals and 23 points in 66 games for AHL Lehigh Valley last campaign before adding one goal and three assists in seven playoff outings. Flyers' Helge Grans: Inks two-year contract
Grans signed a two-year, $1.575 million contract with the Flyers on Friday.
Grans had eight goals, 23 points and 42 PIM in 68 regular-season outings with AHL Lehigh Valley in 2024-25. He also registered an assist across six appearances with the Flyers. The 23-year-old will fight for an NHL roster spot out of training camp, but he might begin the 2025-26 campaign in the minors. That said, his new contract begins as a two-way deal but becomes a one-way contract for 2026-27, which speaks to the Flyers' outlook for the blueliner.

Grans has contributed one assist, five shots on goal, five blocked shots and four hits in six NHL outings this season. He was a healthy scratch in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Blues. Grans' return to the minors opens a roster spot for the Flyers to potentially activate Samuel Ersson (lower body) from injured reserve ahead of Thursday's home game against Florida.

Flyers' Helge Grans: Earns helper in NHL debut
Grans recorded an assist, two shots on goal, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating over 16:11 of ice time in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche.
Grans' first stint in the NHL is likely to be a short one, but he was able to get a milestone checked off with his first point. The defenseman assisted on a Tyson Foerster tally in the third period. Grans will likely head back to AHL Lehigh Valley once one or more of Cam York (upper body), Jamie Drysdale (upper body) or Emil Andrae (undisclosed) is cleared to return to action.
