The tally got the Lightning on the board late in the second period, and it was Guentzel's first goal this postseason. He has seven points, 10 shots on net, three hits, six PIM and a plus-2 rating over four playoff contests this year. In previous postseason campaigns, he amassed 41 goals and 32 assists across 74 outings, including 13 goals and 21 points over 25 games when the won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 2017.

Guentzel (rest) was at practice Friday and will be in the lineup for Game 1 versus Montreal on Sunday, per Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com.
Guentzel had a terrific 2025-26 regular season, potting 38 goals and adding 50 assists, including 30 points with the man advantage, across 81 games. He is expected to play alongside Brandon Hagel and Anthony Cirelli on the Lightning's second line, as well as seeing power-play time on the No. 1 unit.
Guentzel (rest) won't play Wednesday versus the Rangers, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.
Guentzel will sit out the regular-season finale, ending the campaign with 38 goals and 88 points over 81 appearances. The 31-year-old winger will be back in a top-six role for the start of the postseason in Game 1 versus the Canadiens.
