Thompson earned two of his three helpers with the man advantage. He's logged three multi-point efforts over his last four contests. Overall, the 28-year-old is up to five goals, 10 assists, 41 shots on net, 20 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-1 rating across 12 playoff outings while seeing consistent top-six minutes.

Sabres' Tage Thompson: Two-point effort Tuesday
Thompson notched one goal and one assist, both on the power play, in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Canadiens in Game 4 of the second round of the playoffs.
With Buffalo down 2-1 in the second period, Thompson tied the game up on a fluky goal. His dump-in attempt took a strange bounce off the corner boards and went in off a startled Jakub Dobes. The 28-year-old Thompson also helped set up Zach Benson for the winner early in the third period. Thompson has delivered back-to-back multi-point performances. Through 10 games this postseason, he's racked up four goals and 11 points. He'll look to stay locked in as the series shifts back to Buffalo for Game 5 on Thursday.

Sabres' Tage Thompson: Two points in Game 3 loss
Thompson scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Sunday's 6-2 loss to the Canadiens in Game 3.
The star center opened the scoring just 53 seconds into the first period, but Montreal produced the next four goals to pull away. The points were the first of the series for Thompson. Through nine contests this postseason, he's delivered three goals and nine points, including two power-play assists. Thompson may need to come up big in Game 4 on Tuesday if Buffalo is going to even the series.

Thompson had the secondary helper on both of the Sabres' first-period goals, which ended up being the difference in this series-clinching win. The 28-year-old contributed two goals, five assists, 26 shots on net, 10 hits, six blocked shots, 18 PIM and a plus-7 rating over six outings in his first playoff series.
