Player Outlook
Folk is a free agent at the time of publication, and we'll see if he can catch on with a new team prior to Week 1. If that happens then Folk could emerge as a waiver-wire option during the season, but we don't recommend drafting Folk in the majority of leagues. Folk, 40, spent 2024 with the Titans, and he was 21-of-22 on field goals, including 6-of-6 from 50-plus yards, and made all 25 of his PATs. With the right team, Folk can still be Fantasy relevant, but you can just add him off waivers if he gets a job in 2025 and starts off the season playing well.

  • Jets' Nick Folk: Makes lone kick Friday

Folk made his only field-goal attempt in Friday's 19-17 preseason loss to the Eagles. Folk connected on a 41-yard field-goal attempt to end the first half. Meanwhile, Harrison Mevis missed a 55-yard attempt in the third quarter. Folk was already viewed as the favorite to win the Jets' kicking job after making 50 of 52 field-goal attempts over the previous two seasons with the Titans, and that standing was likely solidified Friday.

  • Jets' Nick Folk: Connects on two short FGs

Folk made both of his field-goal attempts in Saturday's 31-12 preseason loss to the Giants. Folk connected on his first two field-goal attempts of the preseason after Harrison Mevis went 3-for-3 in the preseason opener against the Packers. Most questions about the 40-year-old Folk's ability are tied to power rather than accuracy, so it's no surprise he had no trouble making field goals of 38 and 31 yards Saturday. Folk remains the favorite over Mevis in the Jets' kicking competition.

  • Jets' Nick Folk: Finds job with Jets

Folk signed with the Jets on Tuesday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports. Folk, who kicked for the Jets from 2010-16, suited up for 14 regular-season games with the Titans in 2024 and remained effective, converting 21 of 22 field-goal attempts -- including all six of his kicks from 50-plus yards out -- and all 25 of his extra-point tries. Now entering his age-41 season, Folk will be the favorite to start for New York in Week 1 as long as he proves in training camp that his consistency hasn't slipped. His primary competition will be UFL standout Harrison Mevis after the team waived Caden Davis on Tuesday.

  • Nick Folk: Still looking to catch on with team

Folk (abdomen) is aiming to return for an 18th NFL season, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Folk missed the last three games of the 2024 regular season due to an abdominal injury, but he posted a video of himself kicking field goals Wednesday and appears to be fully healthy. Folk has led the league in field-goal percentage over the past two seasons, going 50-for-52 on field-goal attempts while making all six of his tries from 50-plus yards. Given his accuracy, the veteran should be on the radar of teams looking for an upgrade at kicker.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Strong 2024 season

Folk (abdomen) made 21 of his 22 field-goal attempts and all 25 of his extra-point attempts across 14 games with the Titans in 2024. Folk missed Tennessee's final three games, but he had a strong season otherwise. His only missed field goal came in Week 10 when he pushed a 49-yard attempt wide right, and he impressively made all six of his attempts from 50 yards away or further. Though he'll be entering his age-41 season, Folk should receive a contract this offseason -- whether in Tennessee or elsewhere -- after another strong campaign.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Out for Week 18 finale

Folk (abdomen) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Matthew Wright again should handle kicking duties for Tennessee in Week 18. Folk will close out the 2024 season missing his third straight contest, finishing 21 of 22 on field-goal attempts and registering an NFL-best 95.5 percent success rate. He also made all 25 of his extra-point tries. He's been nearly automatic in two seasons for Tennessee, leading the league in field-goal make percentage in both 2023 and 2024. The 40-year-old is scheduled to be a free agent in March.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Upgrades practice activity

Folk (abdomen) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. Folk has missed the Titans' last two games and was listed as a non-participant for each of the team's previous four practices before getting back on the field Thursday, albeit in a limited capacity. The Titans will reassess Folk following Friday's practice before determining whether he or practice-squad member Matthew Wright will handle the kicking duties in Sunday's season finale versus the Texans.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Missing second consecutive game

Folk (abdomen) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Folk will miss a second consecutive game. The Titans plan to add Matthew Wright from their practice squad to fill in for Folk after Brayden Narveson missed his only field-goal attempt while kicking in Folk's place against the Colts in Week 16. Folk's last chance to suit up this season will come against the Texans in Week 18.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Misses another practice

Folk (abdomen) didn't practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Folk's abdominal injury prevented him from playing in the Titans' 38-30 loss to the Colts in Week 16 and has now kept him sidelined for the team's first two Week 17 practices. According to Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com, the Titans remain hopeful that Folk will be able to handle kicking duties in this Sunday's game in Jacksonville, but Tennessee added some insurance by signing Matthew Wright to their practice squad Thursday. Wright would presumably be elevated to the roster Saturday if Folk is in any danger of missing a second straight game.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Listed as DNP Wednesday

Folk (abdomen) was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's practice estimate, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Folk missed the team's Week 16 loss versus the Colts with an abdomen injury and is now in danger of missing his second straight contest. If the 40-year-old ends up being unable to return for Sunday's game versus the Jaguars, Brayden Narveson will handle the kicking duties once again.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Unable to go in Week 16

Folk (abdomen) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts. Folk entered Sunday's game as a true game-time decision after managing only one limited practice session during the week. He's been a consistent kicker for the Titans this season, so his absence could affect the team's special-teams play. Brayden Narveson will take over the kicking duties.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Likely to be game-time call

Coach Brian Callahan said Friday that Folk (abdomen) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Colts, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. The Titans are expected to have Brayden Narveson elevated from the practice squad as insurance should Folk be unable to kick versus Indianapolis. Folk has been nearly automatic this season, making 21 of 22 field-goal attempts (95.5 percent) and all 25 of his extra-point tries. He's been the Titans' best means of scoring in 2024.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: DNP on Thursday

Folk (abdomen) was listed as a DNP on Thursday's injury report, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Folk has missed the Titans' first two practices of the week due to an abdominal injury, and it appears he is in jeopardy of being sidelined for Sunday's game against the Colts. The Titans have Brayden Narveson on the practice squad, and he would be elevated to the active roster should Folk not progress through his recovery enough to play. Folk has been one of the most accurate kickers in the NFL this year, going 21-for-22 on field-goal attempts and converting on all 25 extra-point tries through 14 regular-season games.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Sits out practice with abdominal issue

Folk didn't practice Wednesday due to an abdominal injury, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Folk had been listed with a groin issue on Tennessee's Week 15 injury report, but he suited up in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Bengals, converting on all three of his extra-point tries while not attempting a field goal. The Titans are now listing him with a different injury for Week 16, though it's possible the abdominal injury is linked to the groin issue. The Titans have another kicker on their practice squad (Brayden Narveson) that could be added to the active roster if Folk is unable to play this Sunday in Indianapolis.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Limited to PATs

Folk made all three of his extra-point attempts and did not attempt a field goal in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Bengals. The only Titans scores came on four trips to the end zone, with the final coming as time expired. That limited Folk to only three extra-point attempts, ending his four-game streak of making multiple field goals. Positively, he has yet to miss an extra-point attempt on the campaign.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Full practice Thursday

Folk (groin) was a full participant at the Titans' practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Folk was unavailable for practice Wednesday with a groin injury, but his full participation Thursday clears any concern of his availability to play Sunday versus the Bengals. The kicker has gone a perfect 9-for-9 on field-goal attempts while making all five of his PATs over the last four games.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Dealing with groin injury

Folk missed practice Wednesday due to a groin issue, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Folk made both of his field goal-attempts in this past Sunday's 10-6 loss to the Jaguars, but he may have tweaked his groin at some point during the contest. The Titans haven't disclosed the severity of Folk's injury, but it's worth noting that Tennessee signed kicker Brayden Narveson to their practice squad Wednesday, per Wyatt. If Folk ends up missing Sunday's matchup against the Bengals, Narveson would presumably be elevated to take over as the team's placekicker.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Pair of field goals in loss

Folk made both of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 10-6 loss to the Jaguars. Folk accounted for all of Tennessee's points with a pair of field goals that came from 46 and 39 yards. He has now made multiple field goals in five consecutive games and is 21-for-22 on the campaign. Despite his accuracy, he could be in for uneven results down the stretch due to the ineffective Titans offense.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Two more field goals

Folk made both of his field-goal attempts and his only extra-point attempt in Sunday's 42-19 loss to the Commanders. Folk made 41- and 44-yard field goals in the third quarter, marking his third straight game with multiple converted attempts. While the Tennessee offense could make his opportunity uneven for the rest of the season, Folk has remained extremely accurate and is 19-for-20 on field-goal attempts on the campaign.

  • Titans' Nick Folk: Shows range in win

Folk made all three of his field-goal attempts and all three of his extra-point attempts in Sunday's 32-27 win over the Texans. Folk played a key role in the Titans' upset victory and showed impressive range by making a pair of field goals from 51 yards away and an additional 56-yard kick. He's missed only one of his 18 field-goal attempts this season, highlighted by a perfect record on six opportunities from 50 yards or longer. Folk has now also made multiple field goals in three of his last four games after doing so just once in his first seven contests.
