Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Working on the side
Hyatt (lower body) was spotted riding the bike on the sidelines during Thursday's practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
It's unclear exactly what Hyatt is dealing with, but Duggan believes he tweaked something while running routes early in practice. If the injury lingers through the offseason program, we should expect more clarity. Hyatt is fighting for a roster spot this offseason, as he was frequently a healthy scratch in 2025 and finished with just five catches for 35 yards over eight games.

Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Won't play Week 18
Hyatt (illness) is inactive for Sunday's clash versus the Cowboys, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Hyatt dealt with an illness this week and won't be able to suit up for New York's season finale. He'll end a thoroughly disappointing campaign with a paltry five catches on 14 targets for 35 yards with no touchdowns. Hyatt also collected 111 kick-return yards, though all of those came in one game (Week 9 against San Francisco). The Tennessee product is under contract with New York for one more year but may not be retained by the team next season given his poor performance over the past two campaigns.

Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Could play Sunday
Hyatt (illness) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Cowboys.
Hyatt upgraded from DNPs on Wednesday and Thursday to a limited practice Friday, giving himself a chance to suit up for Sunday's season finale. The 2023 third-round pick from Tennessee has had a disappointing 2025 campaign, appearing in eight games and catching catching five of 14 targets for 35 yards. If active Sunday, Hyatt is expected to play a depth role in the Giants' receiving corps.

Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Misses Wednesday's practice
Hyatt was absent from Wednesday's practice due to an illness, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
The third-year pro from Tennessee appears to be dealing with an illness and likely needs to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to play in the Week 18 matchup against the Cowboys on Sunday. Hyatt has appeared in just eight games this season, catching five of 14 targets for 35 yards while also tallying 111 kick-return yards. If active Sunday, Hyatt will likely play a depth role in the Giants' wide-receiver room.

Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Shrinks back to inactive status
Hyatt (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 16 contest versus Minnesota, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Hyatt was also a healthy scratch Week 13 against New England. The third-year wideout did get to participate last Sunday versus Washington, but he saw only four offensive snaps and didn't catch his lone target. Gunner Olszewski missed that game due to a concussion but is back for Week 16, which likely is the reason for Hyatt reverting to inactive.

Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Barely plays in Week 15
Hyatt failed to haul in his lone target while playing four of 68 snaps on offense in Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Commanders.
A healthy inactive for the Giants' previous two contests, Hyatt suited up Sunday while New York was without Gunner Olszewski (concussion). Olszewski's absence didn't free up many opportunities on offense for Hyatt, whose six percent snap share placed him fourth among Giants receivers.

Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Healthy scratch in Week 13
Hyatt (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Monday at New England, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
For a second time this season -- and first time since Week 8 -- Hyatt is a healthy scratch, and this will mark his seventh time overall that he won't log an offensive snap through 13 games. The Giants' available wide receivers for Monday's matchup are Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins, Gunner Olszewski and Dalen Cambre. Hyatt's next chance to suit up follows the team's Week 14 bye on Sunday, Dec. 14 against the Commanders.

Giants' Jalin Hyatt: Doesn't see field in Week 12
Hyatt was active but did not play in Sunday's loss to Detroit.
In Mike Kafka's first game as New York's interim head coach in Week 11 versus Green Bay, Hyatt logged a season-high 62 percent offensive snap share and caught two of four targets for 18 yards. However, that increased usage didn't carry over into Week 12, as Hyatt didn't log a single snap in any capacity. Meanwhile, recent 53-man roster signee Isaiah Hodgins posted a 66 percent offensive snap share, while top WRs Wan'Dale Robinson (83 percent) and Darius Slayton (63 percent) played their usual roles. Perhaps most tellingly for Hyatt's status in the pecking order, special-teams specialist Gunner Olszewski was given eight snaps on offense and rookie undrafted free agent Dalen Cambre got one, suggesting that New York may have decided to phase Hyatt out of the offense altogether moving forward.
