Seahawks' Montorie Foster: Shines in preseason opener
Foster caught five of seven targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 17-7 preseason loss to the Cowboys, building on what has been a strong performance in training camp, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Foster had a five-yard touchdown catch and almost added a 68-yard touchdown to his stat line Saturday, but Drew Lock overthrew to an open Foster down the sideline in a game during which the Seahawks rested most of their starters. Foster's strong preseason debut could help him in his quest to secure a depth role in a Seattle wide receiver room that also includes Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, Cooper Kupp, Tory Horton, Jake Bobo and Emmanuel Henderson. The 25-year-old Foster will look to keep building momentum in Seattle's second preseason game against the Titans on Aug. 23.

Montorie Foster: Signs with SEA practice squad
The Seahawks signed Foster to the practice squad Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Foster worked out with the Seahawks back in early November, but he was not signed to the practice squad at that time. With the recent injury to Cody White (groin), the Seahawks may require a spare wide receiver as they head into their playoff run.

Seahawks' Montorie Foster: Nursing hamstring injury
Coach Mike Macdonald said Tuesday that Foster has a hamstring injury, Curtis Crabtree of Fox 13 Seattle reports.
Foster's previously undisclosed injury has now been confirmed as a hamstring issue, and it's in doubt whether he'll be available for Thursday's preseason game versus the Raiders. As long as he's still sidelined, John Rhys Plumlee and Tyrone Broden could see increased reps at wide receiver.

Seahawks' Montorie Foster: Absent from Saturday's practice
Foster (undisclosed) did not participate in Saturday's training camp practice, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Foster has been active in practice over the past two weeks after being reinstated from the active/non-football injury list July 16. It's unclear if this injury is the same one he was dealing with at the start of camp, but if he's unable to return to practice this week, he would be in jeopardy of missing Seattle's preseason opener against the Raiders on Thursday. Foster caught on with the Seahawks in mid-May as an undrafted free agent, and while a spot on the 53-man roster is a long shot, he is also competing for an opportunity to stick around on the practice squad.
