Titans' Jaylen Harrell: Placed on IR
Harrell (knee) was placed on injured reserve by Tennessee on Sunday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Harrell suffered a torn ACL during the team's preseason opener against the 49ers, and he will officially miss the entirety of the 2026 campaign. The 24-year-old was competing for a depth role on Tennessee's defense, and he'll now shift his focus to being ready to go for training camp next year.

Titans' Jaylen Harrell: Done for season due to torn ACL
Harrell has been diagnosed with a torn ACL, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Harrell's injury occurred during Thursday's preseason win over San Francisco. Per Turron Davenport of ESPN.com, the third-year linebacker will be sidelined for the entire 2026 season. It's a tough blow for Harrell and Tennessee's defense after the Michigan product showed intriguing growth with 3.5 sacks over his final four games during his 2025 sophomore campaign. He'll now look to rehab in the hope of being ready for training camp ahead of the 2027 season.

Titans' Jaylen Harrell: Injures knee Thursday
Harrell (knee) exited Thursday night's preseason opener against the 49ers early and did not return to the game, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Harrell suffered a knee injury during the contest. It is unclear how much time the defensive end will miss due to the issue. The 2024 seventh-rounder is primarily a special-teams player but began to see the field defensively in pass situations as a rotational rusher late in the 2025 season. If Harrell must miss time, Truman Jones may see more opportunities with the Titans' defensive line.

Titans' Jaylen Harrell: Role increases late in 2025
Harrell recorded 25 tackles (14 solo) with 4.5 sacks and one forced fumble across 17 games with the Titans in 2025.
Harrell played exclusively on special teams for the first five games of the season, but his role increased from there. He ultimately played over 50 percent of defensive snaps for most of the second half of the campaign, and he accounted for 4.0 sacks across his last five contests. Harrell could continue to serve as a solid pass rusher while seeing the field primarily on passing downs in 2026.

Titans' Jaylen Harrell: Tennessee adds Round 7 pass rusher
The Titans selected Harrell in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 252nd overall.
Harrell is a fringe prospect for a reason -- namely, he's unrefined as a pass rusher and doesn't have much variety of moves to work around blockers -- but as far as seventh-round picks go, he can't be a bad value. Harrell was a prominent contributor on Michigan's National Championship-winning defense, and at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, he boasts a 40-yard dash time around the 4.70-second range. Those are good enough athletic tools for the NFL, so it's just on Harrell to develop his skill set a bit more to become more consistently disruptive.
