  • Michael Pratt: Reaches settlement with Tampa Bay

Pratt (back) was waived from the reserve/PUP list after reaching an injury settlement with the Buccaneers on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Pratt has been sidelined for the entirety of the Buccaneers' training camp with a back issue, which led to his placement on the reserve/PUP list Aug. 13. The quarterback will now be eligible to sign with another team for the 2025 season.

  • Buccaneers' Michael Pratt: Placed on PUP list

Pratt (back) was placed on the reserve/PUP list by the Buccaneers on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Pratt entered training camp on the active/PUP list with a back issue, and he will now be forced to miss at least the first four weeks of action after failing a physical this week. Once healthy, the quarterback will likely operate as a member of the Buccaneers' practice squad in 2025.

  • Buccaneers' Michael Pratt: Starts camp on PUP

Tampa Bay placed Pratt (undisclosed) on the active/PUP list Tuesday. Pratt spent most of last season on the Bucs' practice squad and was elevated to the active roster numerous times throughout the year. He's yet to appear in a regular-season game and is trying to push for a spot on the roster behind Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask.

  • Buccaneers' Michael Pratt: Signs with Tampa Bay

Pratt signed a reserve/future contract with Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Pratt was a seventh-round pick by the Packers in the 2024 NFL Draft, but he didn't make the team out of the preseason and spent the majority of the campaign bouncing between the Bucs' practice squad and active roster as the team's emergency QB3. Pratt never got into a regular-season game but will get another shot to try and impress the coaching staff this offseason.

  • Michael Pratt: Returns to practice squad

Pratt reverted to the Buccaneers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Pratt operated as the team's emergency quarterback in Sunday's 48-14 win over the Panthers, ultimately remaining on the sidelines for the entirety of the contest. The team has used up all three of Pratt's elevations, making it unlikely that he's back with the active roster for the Tampa Bay's regular-season finale in Week 18 versus the Saints.

  • Michael Pratt: Cut by Green Bay

The Packers waived Pratt on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. The seventh-round rookie out of Tulane completed 23 of 35 passes for 178 yards, one touchdown and one interception during the preseason. The Packers could try to further develop Pratt on the practice squad if he clears waivers.

  • Packers' Michael Pratt: Part of team's QB struggles Sunday

Pratt completed 10 of 16 passes for 52 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 27-2 preseason loss to the Broncos. He added one rushing attempt for seven yards. Sean Clifford started and played the first four drives before Pratt handled the remainder of the game. Neither reserve quarterback led the offense to any points, suggesting that the status quo of Clifford occupying the second spot on the depth chart behind Jordan Love remains intact heading into Green Bay's preseason finale against the Ravens on Saturday.

  • Packers' Michael Pratt: Joins Green Bay

The Packers selected Pratt in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 245th overall. The Packers likely wanted to jump in front of the priority undrafted free agent game, locking in the Tulane product with their second to last remaining seventh-round pick. A four-year collegiate starter, Pratt won't be mistaken for a run-first option behind center nor does he have a cannon for an arm, but he's a competitive quarterback who has improved his game significantly after just starting to play football for the first time in high school. It's entirely possible Pratt pushes out the incumbent, Sean Clifford, for the team's backup job behind Jordan Love.
