Tino Ellis: Waived with injury settlement
Miami waived Ellis (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ellis was waived with an injury designation Aug. 21 and subsequently reverted to IR. The cornerback is now free to pursue an opportunity elsewhere after agreeing with the Dolphins on an injury settlement. Ellis was also waived with an injury settlement in August of last year and ended up coming back to Miami as a member of the team's practice squad.

Dolphins' Tino Ellis: Lands on injured reserve
Ellis (undisclosed) reverted to the Dolphins' injured reserve list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ellis will miss the 2023 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team. He is in the same spot now as he was this time last year where he reached a settlement with Miami, which allowed him to rejoin the team in October on the practice squad.

Miami signed Ellis to its practice squad Monday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
Ellis was set to miss the entire 2022 campaign after being placed on the Dolphins' injured reserve list in August, but he eventually agreed to an injury settlement with Miami and now has made his way back onto the practice squad. With Byron Jones (ankle) on the reserve/PUP list and Xavien Howard (groin) having missed Sunday's loss at the Jets, Ellis already could be on a short path to being elevated.

Ellis (undisclosed) reached an injury settlement with the Dolphins on Wednesday and is now a free agent, Alain Poupart of SI.com reports.
