  • Falcons' Drake London: Scores three TDs in return

London caught nine of 14 targets for 118 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 24-23 loss to the Patriots. London boxed out his defender on a leaping one-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter, then high-pointed the ball for a two-yard score in the second quarter and added a one-handed snag for an eight-yard touchdown in the fourth. A missed PAT after London's third touchdown catch proved to be the difference as Atlanta's comeback attempt came up short, but London showed no ill effects from the hip injury that kept him out of the Week 8 loss to the Dolphins. The Falcons' other wide receivers combined for only three targets against the Patriots, so London's locked in as the team's top option in the passing game heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Colts in Berlin.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Good to go

London (hip) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game at New England, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports. London upgraded to full participation Friday after logging limited practices the previous two days. He'll return from a one-game absence due to a hip injury to face a hot New England defense led by CB Christian Gonzalez.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Stays limited at practice

London (hip) was limited at practice Thursday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. London now has been listed as limited on three consecutive injury reports due to a hip issue, which sidelined him this past Sunday versus the Dolphins. He'll have one more opportunity to get back to full this week before Atlanta potentially tags him with a designation ahead of Sunday's game in New England. Assuming London is able to suit up this weekend, it's unclear who between Michael Penix (knee), who also was limited Wednesday and Thursday, and Kirk Cousins will be under center for the Falcons.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Limited Wednesday

London (hip) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. Per Josh Kendall of The Athletic, London mixed into team drills to begin Week 9 prep, but he didn't log enough work for him to be listed as more than limited. London showed up on last Friday's injury report the same way before Atlanta tagged him as questionable Saturday and eventually inactive this past Sunday against the Dolphins. Both London and No. 1 QB Michael Penix (knee) missed that contest, but both operated with a cap on their reps Wednesday, which generally is a decent sign that the Falcons offense may have everyone available Sunday in New England.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Considered 'day-to-day'

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said Monday that London (hip) is "day-to-day," Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports. Morris called both London and quarterback Michael Penix (knee) day-to-day in the wake of both players having missed Atlanta's 34-10 loss to the Dolphins in Week 8. Veteran backup quarterback Kirk Cousins looked ill-prepared to command the Falcons offense without London on the field, finishing with just 173 passing yards with no touchdowns or interceptions despite facing off against a deeply flawed Miami secondary. Whether it ends up being Penix or Cousins under center on the road against New England on Sunday, it will bode well for Atlanta's aerial attack if London is able to retake the field alongside Darnell Mooney and TE Kyle Pitts. The star wideout was a late addition to the Week 8 injury report.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Surprise inactive Sunday

London (hip) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Dolphins, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. Despite showing up as limited on Friday's practice report due to a hip issue, London initially wasn't tagged with a designation for Sunday's game, but the Falcons then changed his status to questionable Saturday, per Terrin Waack of the team's official site. With London's lack of availability now confirmed for Week 8 action, Atlanta's options at wide receiver will be Darnell Mooney, David Sills, Casey Washington, KhaDarel Hodge, Jamal Agnew and Dylan Drummond.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Now listed as questionable for Week 8

The Falcons changed London's status to questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to a hip injury, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports. London didn't show up on Atlanta's Week 8 injury report until Friday as a limited participant with the hip issue, and the team then didn't tag him with a game-day designation. With the slight downgrade, his status now will need to be monitored ahead of Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff to see if he'll be available. London currently sits with a 38-469-2 receiving line on 63 targets in six games this season, and if he's active he likely will be working with quarterback Kirk Cousins because regular starter Michael Penix (knee) is trending toward sitting out, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Little production on 10 targets

London recorded four receptions on 10 targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the 49ers. London logged double-digit targets for the fourth time in six games this season, so lack of opportunity wasn't the reason for his poor line. However, he struggled to connect with Michael Penix both deep and in short areas of the field, leading to his inefficient day and his lowest yardage total of the campaign. The Falcons' passing game appeared to be getting on track in Weeks 5 and 6, making this a particularly disappointing step back.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Monster receiving line on MNF

London corralled 10 of 16 targets for 158 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 24-14 win over Buffalo. It was the Bijan Robinson and Drake London Show on Monday Night Football after the two budding superstars accounted for 396 of Atlanta's 443 yards of offense. The 23-year-old London didn't cool off over his team's Week 5 bye, bookending the break with a pair of 100-plus yard games with a touchdown scored in each. He actually finished the contest as the only wide receiver to record a catch for Atlanta, highlighting his status as QB Michael Penix's unquestioned No. 1 target. A red-hot London will set his sights on a battered 49ers defense Week 7.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Leads pass catchers in loss

London secured five of eight targets for 55 yards in the Falcons' 30-0 loss to the Panthers on Sunday. On a day when the host Panthers delivered a shocking thumping to the Falcons, London managed to cobble together a serviceable, albeit uninspiring, fantasy day. The talented wideout led Atlanta in both receptions and receiving yards while checking in second in targets, and the yardage tally tied London's season high. While Michael Penix took a step back Sunday, London will aim to help the second-year signal-caller atone during a Week 4 home matchup against a Commanders defense that's been prone to allowing chunk plays through the air early this season.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Cleared for SNF

London (shoulder) and Darnell Mooney (shoulder) don't have injury designation for Sunday's game at Minnesota, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports. London was injured in the fourth quarter of last week's loss to Tampa Bay, while Mooney missed the game due to an injury he'd been nursing since August. Both are now available to face a Minnesota defense that allowed a league-high 39.7 PPR points per game to wide receivers last year (albeit with the production driven by volume rather than efficiency).

  • Falcons' Drake London: Officially limited Wednesday

London (shoulder) was limited at Wednesday's practice, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. London suffered a shoulder injury late in this past Sunday's loss to the Buccanners, and the issue was clarified as a sprain afterward, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. During a media session earlier Wednesday, coach Raheem Morris said that he believes London will be available Sunday at Minnesota. "Drake is Drake," Morris noted. "He's ultimately tough. I do expect him to play. That's not saying he is." That last point from Morris leaves some uncertainty surrounding London's status, so his activity level will be one to watch as the week goes on to get a sense of his odds to suit up this weekend.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Practicing, expected to play

Falcons coach Raheem Morris said Wednesday that London (shoulder) will participate in practice and is expected to suit up Sunday night versus the Vikings, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports. Morris said, "I do expect [London] to play," but he cautioned, "That's not saying he is." Atlanta will wait to make a decision on London's status for Week 2 until the coaching staff has been able to evaluate him throughout a full series of practices, but Morris' optimism at least confirms that the star wideout has avoided a severe injury. London brought in eight of 15 targets for 55 yards during the Falcons' 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers in Week 1. Fellow starting wideout Darnell Mooney (shoulder), who was unavailable against Tampa Bay, is also practicing Wednesday.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Deemed day-to-day

London (shoulder) is considered day-to-day due to a shoulder sprain, though he's set for further testing on the injury he suffered in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Early reports on London's injury are encouraging, though further testing is needed to confirm the severity of the injury he suffered in the fourth quarter of Sunday's season-opening loss. The Falcons were already without Darnell Mooney (shoulder) against Tampa Bay, so they could be severely shorthanded at wide receiver against the Vikings in Week 2 if London's unable to suit up.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Getting fifth-year option

The Falcons are exercising their fifth-year option on London's rookie contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The eighth overall pick from the 2022 Draft is now under contract through 2026, although it may not be long before he signs an extension that locks him in beyond that. London had career highs in every major counting stat last year, including 41 more targets (158) and 366 more yards (1,271) than his previous personal bests. He had just three 100-yard performances, but two of those came in the final two games after Michael Penix took over as Atlanta's starting QB. There should be plenty of volume for London again in 2025, after the Falcons focused on their defense this offseason and failed to acquire any significant competition for targets or carries.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Standout performance in loss

London secured 10 of 18 targets for 187 yards and two touchdowns in the Falcons' 44-38 overtime loss to the Panthers on Sunday. The star wideout put together a stellar effort in a game the Falcons need to win to have a chance at a playoff spot, setting a new career high in receiving yards. London comfortably led the Falcons' pass catchers across the board for the afternoon as well, and his 10 grabs vaulted him to exactly 100 receptions for the season. London also finished the 2024 campaign with a career-high nine touchdown grabs courtesy of his 20- and 21-yard scoring catches, and the chemistry he displayed with rookie quarterback Michael Penix over the three games he played with him sends both players into the offseason with plenty of momentum.

  • Falcons' Drake London: No injury designation

London (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Panthers. Added to the injury report Thursday as a limited participant, London returned to full participation Friday and should be fine for his usual workload come Sunday. The real question mark is fellow wideout Darnell Mooney, who was also added to the injury report Thursday (with a shoulder injury) and then didn't practice Friday. Mooney is listed as questionable and may end up a game-time decision.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Remains limited by knee issue

London was limited at Thursday's practice due to a knee injury, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports. London also had some practice restrictions last week due to the same health concern, but he practiced fully to end Week 17 prep and didn't have a designation ahead of this past Sunday's game against Washington, when he hauled in seven of 13 targets for 106 yards. Friday's injury report will unveil whether or not he follows a similar pattern for Week 18 action.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Leading receiver on 13 targets

London hauled in seven of 13 targets for 106 yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Commanders. London wound up recording his second-highest total in receiving yards this season despite his club falling just short of victory Sunday. The budding third-year pro brought his season line up to 97-1,190-7 following his Week 17 effort, cementing his status as the team's clear-cut No. 1 option. London will look to finish the season strong in next Sunday's regular-season finale against the Panthers.

  • Falcons' Drake London: Ready for Week 17

Coach Raheem Morris said London (knee) practiced fully Friday and doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in Washington, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports. After London left in the fourth quarter of this past Sunday's game against the Giants due to a knee injury, Morris told Tori McElhaney that the wide receiver could have returned to action, implying that the health concern wasn't a serious one. London kicked off Week 17 prep with back-to-back limited listings on Falcons practice reports, but Friday's uncapped session has paved the way for him to suit up Sunday, when he'll be facing a Commanders defense that has allowed the ninth-most receiving TDs (16) to opposing wide receivers in 15 contests this season.
