  • Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Multiple sacks in loss

Dorlus logged four tackles (three solo), including 2.0 sacks and two tackles for loss in Sunday's 24-23 loss to the Patriots. Dorlus' role has varied throughout the season, but he topped 50 percent of defensive snaps in Week 9 for the first time in his last three games. He responded with his highest tackle total of the campaign and at least one sack for the first time since Week 2. Despite the strong showing, Dorlus has limited IDP value.

  • Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Makes impact during SNF

Dorlus finished with three tackles (one solo), including 1.5 sacks, during Sunday's 22-6 win over the Vikings. Dorlus was a 2024 fourth-round pick but appeared in only two games as a rookie. Zach Harrison and David Onyemata are the Falcons' top defensive linemen, while Dorlus is splitting snaps with Ruke Orhorhoro and LaCale London. In that role, Dorlus has played just under 50 percent of Atlanta's defensive snaps through two games. This could be a sign of things to come for Dorlus, but unless he starts seeing more snaps, it'll be difficult for him to replicate this type of production consistently.

  • Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Past abdomen issue

Dorlus (abdomen) has been participating in the Falcons' organized team activities. Dorlus was inactive for Atlanta's 2024 season finale due to an abdomen injury, but his participation OTAs suggest he's moved past the issue. The second-year pro from Oregon appeared in just two games during his rookie campaign, recording three total tackles over 25 total snaps (19 defensive and six on special teams). Dorlus is likely to compete for a depth role on the Falcons' defensive line as the summer progresses.

  • Falcons' Brandon Dorlus: Dealing with abdomen injury

Dorlus (abdomen) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Panthers, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports. Dorlus was a late addition to Atlanta's injury report, popping up as a non-participant at Friday's practice due to an abdomen issue. However, the rookie defensive tackle from Oregon still has a chance to play in Sunday's regular-season finale. If Dorlus can play through his abdomen injury in Week 18, he'll likely serve as a depth piece on the Falcons' defensive line.
