Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Outplayed by Henderson in Week 2
Stevenson rushed six times for 43 yards while catching one of two targets for three yards in Sunday's 20-3 win over the Steelers. He also lost a fumble.
Stevenson lost a fumble in the first quarter and proceeded to cede the majority of backfield opportunities to TreVeyon Henderson (ankle), who rushed 16 times for 76 yards and a touchdown in the latter's season debut. The pair of running backs split carries during Henderson's rookie 2025 season, and Stevenson racked up 23 touches in Henderson's absence during the Week 1 loss to the Seahawks. Stevenson, who has lost five of 11 fumbles since the start of the 2024 regular season, will try to improve his ball security in Week 3 against a Jaguars defense that recovered nine fumbles during the 2025 regular season.

Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Heavy volume in Week 1 loss
Stevenson rushed 18 times for 51 yards and brought in five of six targets for 44 yards in the Patriots' 13-10 loss to the Seahawks on Wednesday.
As expected with TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) unavailable, Stevenson shouldered a heavy workload and found running room at a premium save for his game-long 12-yard rush late in the fourth quarter. However, the versatile veteran made an impact as a receiver, finishing with a co-team-high reception total while checking in as the runner-up in both receiving yards and targets for the Patriots on the night. Stevenson's involvement as a pass catcher unsurprisingly picked up after A.J. Brown went down with an ankle injury on the first possession of the second half, and the veteran running back could remain in an elevated all-around role during the Week 2 home opener against the Steelers on Sunday, Sept. 20.

Patriots' Rhamondre Stevenson: Lead role awaits in opener
Stevenson is expected to see the bulk of the snaps and touches out of the backfield Wednesday against the Seahawks after TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) was ruled out, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
The duo is expected to share the load when both are fully healthy, but Henderson's absence for Week 1 should clear the way for Stevenson to handle a workhorse role. Corey Kiner is the only other healthy back on the depth chart, so at least one of Lan Larison and Hassan Haskins will be promoted from the practice squad, but none of them are expected to poach much work from Stevenson. With a hefty touch volume awaiting him Wednesday, Stevenson should make for a strong fantasy option, even in a tough matchup against the reigning Super Bowl champions.
