Commanders' Jordan Magee: Misses Tuesday practice
Magee (undisclosed) did not participate in Tuesday's practice, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Magee does not currently have a return timeline set. The Commanders signed an additional linebacker Tuesday morning, meaning Magee could be set to miss an extended period of time. If the 25-year-old must work his way back from a significant issue, Kain Medrano or Krys Barnes could see additional reps during Saturday's preseason showdown with the Lions.

Commanders' Jordan Magee: Increased production in Year 2
Magee recorded 54 total tackles (31 solo) and a pass defensed over 17 games during the 2025 regular season.
Magee was limited to 24 total defensive snaps over the team's first six contests of the year, but he then saw an expanded role as a rotational linebacker, playing no fewer than 14 snaps on defense in the team's remaining 11 regular-season games. As a result, the 24-year-old was able to finish sixth on Washington's defense in total takedowns, far exceeding the nine total tackles he compiled in his rookie campaign in 2024. With starting outside linebacker Von Miller entering the offseason as a free agent, Magee could have a chance to step into a starting role next year.

Magee (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins in Madrid.
Magee was limited in practice all week and took a questionable tag into Sunday, but he'll be ready to reprise his typical duties as a rotational linebacker. After being limited almost exclusively to special teams in the Commanders' first six games, Magee has played at least one-third of the defensive snaps in each of the last four games while totaling 16 tackles.

Commanders' Jordan Magee: Full go in camp
Magee is healthy and participating in training camp, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports.
Magee suffered a knee injury during the team's first preseason contest last year, which ultimately required a stint on injured reserve. Magee did end up returning midway through the season but was used almost exclusively on special teams. Now heading into his second season, the 2024 fifth-round pick is looking to prove himself and find a role on the 53-man roster.

Commanders' Jordan Magee: Moved to IR
The Commanders placed Magee (hamstring) on injured reserve Saturday.
Magee missed Weeks 17 and 18 due to a hamstring issue but returned to action for last weekend's wild-card win against Tampa Bay. However, he aggravated the injury against the Buccaneers and didn't practice at all this week. With his placement on IR, Magee's season is now over. He finished his rookie campaign with nine tackles (seven solo) over eight regular-season contests while playing primarily on special teams.

Commanders' Jordan Magee: Not playing against Detroit
Magee (hamstring) has been ruled out for Saturday's NFC divisional-round game against the Lions.
Magee aggravated a hamstring injury during the Commanders' NFC wild-card win over the Buccaneers on Sunday. The injury was severe enough for him to be held out of practice all week, and as a result, he will not play in Saturday's playoff bout. The rookie fifth-round pick has mostly served in a special-teams role this season, so his absence won't heavily impact the Commanders' linebacker rotation.

Commanders' Jordan Magee: Unlikely for divisional round
Commanders coach Dan Quinn said Monday that Magee (hamstring) is unlikely to be available for Saturday's divisional-round game against the Lions, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
The rookie linebacker out of Temple aggravated a hamstring injury that held him out of Washington's last two regular-season games in Sunday's wild-card win over the Buccaneers. As a result, the Commanders aren't counting on Magee being available for their second contest of the postseason. Magee totaled nine tackles during the regular season while seeing the bulk of his snaps on special teams.
