Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Progressing well in recovery
Coach Mike Macdonald said Wednesday that Charbonnet continues to do a "great job" in his recovery from the torn ACL he suffered during the divisional-round of last season's playoffs, Cameron Van Til of Seattle Sports reports.
Per the report, Charbonnet, who underwent surgery to repair his left knee Feb. 20, did some conditioning work during Tuesday's minicamp practice. Given the timing of his procedure, the expectation has been that Charbonnet will miss time out of the gate this coming season, and in that scenario 2026 first-round pick Jadarian Price, as well as George Holani and Emanuel Wilson, would be in line to handle Seattle's backfield duties come Week 1. However, when asked if there's a chance Charbonnet could be ready by the start of the season, Macdonald said Wednesday, "Everything's possible." Either way, Charbonnet's progress will be worth monitoring closely as the summer rolls along, and once he's ready to return to game action, the 2023 second-rounder will have an opportunity to claim a key role in a Seahawks RB corps that no longer includes Kenneth Walker, who led the team with 221 carries in 2025.

Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Gets in some light on-field work
Charbonnet, who underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL in mid-February, was spotted doing what Brendon Nelson of SI.com describes as some light on-field work during Tuesday's mandatory minicamp session.
Per Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune, while Charbonnet's teammates warmed up on the main field Tuesday, the running back did about 15 minutes of high-knee hurdler steps while dressed in sweats and flat running shoes, as well as lateral movement and other low-impact drills. Though his presence on the field in any capacity is encouraging, given the typical eight-to-12 month recovery period for his surgery, it remains to be seen when Charbonnet will be cleared for full participation. He's on track to miss time at the beginning of the regular season, paving the way for 2026 first-round pick Jadarian Price, as well as George Holani and Emanuel Wilson, to handle Seattle's backfield duties.

Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Looking at midseason return?
Charbonnet (knee) is realistically looking at a midseason return, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL in the Seahawks' divisional-round win over the 49ers a little over four months ago and is fully expected to miss the start of the 2026 campaign. Starting the season on the reserve/PUP list would seem to make the most sense, and that would at least cost Charbonnet the first four games of the regular season. Rookie Jadarian Price, free-agent pickup Emanuel Wilson and George Holani will likely all see snaps out of the Seattle backfield while Charbonnet is sidelined.

Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Team drafts RB in Round 1
Charbonnet (knee) will face increased competition for touches once he recovers from a torn ACL, as Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports that the Seahawks drafted Jadarian Price 32nd overall Thursday,
The Seahawks lost running back Kenneth Walker in free agency but didn't take long to draft Walker's replacement, using the final selection of Thursday's first round on Price out of Notre Dame. Charbonnet split carries with Walker during the 2025 regular season, but Walker took on a workhorse role after Charbonnet tore his ACL in the NFC divisional-round win over the 49ers. Charbonnet's recovery is likely to stretch into the 2026 regular season, but if he can regain his pre-injury form, he'll likely return to a platoon role in a Seahawks backfield that also includes Price, Emanuel Wilson and George Holani.
