  • Jets' Breece Hall: Will be sidelined 2-to-3 weeks

Hall (groin) will be sidelined for 2-to-3 weeks, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.

The groin injury Hall sustained Monday will cost him the rest of the preseason, but if things go as planned, head coach Aaron Glenn anticipates he will be ready for the start of the regular season. Hall's absence will afford Braelon Allen -- and presumably Isaiah Davis (knee) if healthy -- more reps with the starters over the remainder of camp.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Will watch practice Tuesday

Hall (groin) was in attendance for Tuesday's practice, though he wasn't in uniform and was observing the session off to the side, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Hall exited Monday's session early after sustaining a right groin strain, an injury that the Jets believe to be a minor concern that won't threaten his availability for the team's Week 1 game against the Titans. While Hall is probably at least a week away from mixing back into drills, his presence at practice seemingly supports the notion that he's not in line for a long-term absence. With Isaiah Davis also having been sidelined for the past week due to a minor knee injury, Braelon Allen should be in line for the bulk of the reps with the Jets' first-team offense in practice until Hall makes his return to the field.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Groin strain is considered 'minor'

The follow-up on the groin injury Hall sustained Monday confirmed that the injury is minor, according to Connor Hughes of SNY.tv.

Hughes notes that the Jets will be cautious with the running back, suggesting that Hall may be more week-to-week than day-to-day. However, Hughes did add that all indications are that the Jets' top back will be available for Week 1 action. As a result, Hall's status will need to be monitored closely ahead of the team's Sept. 13 season opener against the Titans. With Isaiah Davis managing a knee injury, Braelon Allen figures to see added first-team RB reps in the coming days.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Dealing with groin strain, per head coach

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said that Hall sustained a groin strain during Monday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Hall went down with the injury on a non-contact play, as he caught a swing pass and then tumbled to the ground as he ran upfield, per aBrian Costello of the New York Post. Glenn acknowledged that he doesn't believe that Hall's injury is a "big deal," but the Jets will evaluate the running back more thoroughly and send him in for imaging before a timeline for his return is established, per Cimini. Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis (knee) are next up on the Jets' depth chart at running back and would be in line for more opportunities with the first-team offense if Hall misses practice time or preseason action.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Sustains thigh injury at Monday's practice

Hall sustained a right thigh injury at Monday's practice, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Per the report, Hall "caught a swing pass and then pulled up and fell down," which required a look from the training staff. The extent of the injury is not yet known, but Hall's status will be updated when more information is available.

  • Jets' Breece Hall: Set to operate as bellcow

Hall is expected to be featured more prominently as the Jets' lead back this season, Connor Hughes of SNY.TV reports.

Hall signed a three-year, $45.75 million contract with the Jets in May, and it now appears as if the 25-year-old's offensive snap share will go up in his fifth campaign with the team. The running back's usage peaked at a 67.5 percent offensive snap share in 2024 before dropping down to 61.1 percent in 2025. With the heightened expectations for Hall, Braelon Allen is set to operate as a clear No. 2 option while Isaiah Davis will play third fiddle in the backfield this year.
