Damarion Williams: Set loose by Ravens
Williams was waived by Baltimore on Monday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Williams was a fourth-round draft pick by the Ravens in 2022 and played in 14 regular-season games during his rookie campaign. However, he missed almost all of last season due to an ankle injury and struggled in Saturday's preseason loss to Green Bay, which may have sealed his fate in terms of making the 53-man roster. Williams is versatile enough to log reps out wide, in the slot and at safety, which could help him land on an NFL roster in due time.

Ravens' Damarion Williams: Back in gear
Williams is participating in drills during OTAs, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports.
Williams went to Baltimore's injured reserve list with an undisclosed injury back in January, but he's now apparently healthy enough for football activities again. After the Ravens added Nate Wiggins and T.J. Tampa during April's draft, Williams might have to fight just to garner a spot on the 2024 roster.

Ravens' Damarion Williams: Set for ankle surgery
Williams (ankle) is slated to have surgery that will likely leave him sidelined for the start of the season, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Coach John Harbaugh indicated Williams will likely be ready by October, so he is unlikely to be placed on injured reserve until the final roster cuts are set. Once that happens and he is subsequently placed on IR, he will be eligible to return by Week 5 if his recovery remains on track.

Ravens' Damarion Williams: Leaves practice early
Williams (undisclosed) left practice early Thursday and was carted off the field, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Williams was able to walk after being taken from the field, so it's hard to say how severe the injury may be. The 25-year-old started camp on the PUP list due to an undisclosed injury, although he's been active in camp since July 31. He'll now work to get healthy and still has plenty of time to prepare for Week 1.
