  • Commanders' Treylon Burks: Won't play Week 11 with injury

Burks has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins due to a finger injury. Burks was signed to the Commanders' active roster this past Tuesday and made an impact during Sunday's 44-22 loss to the Lions, when he led Washington with 58 receiving yards on three catches. However, the 2022 first-rounder came out of that contest with a finger injury, which was severe enough for him to undergo surgery Monday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Burks will miss Sunday's game in Spain, but the finger injury isn't considered a long-term issue, meaning he could be cleared to return following the Commanders' Week 12 bye.

  • Commanders' Treylon Burks: Makes impact in loss to Lions

Burks secured all three of his targets for 58 yards during Sunday's 44-22 loss to Detroit. Burks led Washington in terms of receiving yards against Detroit with Marcus Mariota under center and Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) sidelined, though he was outpaced by both Deebo Samuel and tight end Zach Ertz in terms of targets. As Burks was signed to the active roster in advance of Sunday's contest, he'll get another chance to contribute on offense as the Commanders travel to Madrid in Week 11 to take on the Dolphins. If McLaurin is unavailable again versus Miami, Burks could be considered as an emergency pivot option at wide receiver in deeper fantasy formats.

  • Commanders' Treylon Burks: Getting signed to active roster

Washington signed Burks to its active roster Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The Commanders are dealing with injuries to multiple notable contributors at wide receiver, so it's not a huge surprise to see them bring up reinforcements at the position. Burks logged 32 offensive snaps in his first game with Washington in Week 9, bringing in his only target for 14 yards.

  • Commanders' Treylon Burks: One catch in Commanders debut

Burks caught his only target for 14 yards during Sunday's 38-14 loss to the Seahawks. The 2022 first-round pick from Arkansas was elevated from the Commanders' practice squad to the active roster to ensure depth at wide receiver, as both Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) and Noah Brown (groin) were sidelined Sunday. Burks played 33 offensive snaps and operated as Washington's No. 4 wideout, finishing as the team's fifth-leading receiver. He's likely to remain on the Commanders' active roster for the Week 10 matchup against the Lions, as McLaurin and Brown appear unlikely to return.

  • Commanders' Treylon Burks: Elevated to active roster

Burks was elevated from the Commanders' practice squad to the active roster Saturday. Burks joined the Commanders' practice squad in mid-October after a lengthy recovery from a collarbone injury. With Terry McLaurin (quadriceps) ruled out, Burks has the chance to be active for the first time since Week 6 of the 2024 campaign.

  • Treylon Burks: Visiting with Denver, Washington

Burks visited the Broncos on Tuesday and plans to visit the Commanders on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Burks suffered a broken collarbone in July and was on the Titans' injured-reserve list before he was waived last week. Burks has a first-round draft pick pedigree but failed to live up to the billing in Tennessee. A change of scenery would do him well, and he appears to have plenty of interest as a reclamation project.

  • Treylon Burks: Waived with injury designation

The Titans waived Burks (collarbone) with an injury designation Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Burks suffered a broken collarbone in practice last week, and he'll now head to waivers after the Titans signed fellow WR Ramel Keyton in a corresponding move. If Burks clears waivers, he'll be placed on injured reserve, where he could then be cut with an injury settlement at a later date. Since being taken with the 18th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Burks has amassed a career receiving line of 53-699-1 on 92 targets across 27 regular-season contests. He's been neither healthy nor productive in Tennessee.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Leaves practice Saturday

Burks (shoulder/knee) exited Saturday's practice after making a diving one-handed catch, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports. Burks has been practicing for a couple days now after his 2024 campaign was cut short due to a torn ACL. He beat a cornerback deep during Saturday's practice and made a phenomenal catch but came up holding his shoulder before heading to the locker room. Burks is vying for a starting wide receiver job during training camp, so any missed time will be detrimental.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: On track for training camp

Burks (knee) is expected to be ready for training camp, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Burks, who is bouncing back from an ACL tear that he suffered Week 6 of the 2024 season, was only able to take part in individual periods of practice during OTAs and minicamp, but it looks like he'll be ready for more work in training camp. Once he's at or close to 100 percent, the 2022 first-rounder will have an opportunity to compete for slotting in a Tennessee wideout corps that is led by Calvin Ridley but unsettled beyond that.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Done for season

Head coach Brian Callahan said Wednesday that Burks won't return from injured reserve this season after undergoing surgery to address ACL damage, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Burks was placed on IR back on Oct. 19, but the extent of his injury wasn't known at the time. Per Turron Davenport of ESPN.com, Burks had been dealing with what was described as a "loose ACL" issue, as opposed to a full tear, and underwent the procedure a couple of weeks ago. In his continued absence, Calvin Ridley, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Tyler Boyd will continue to lead the Tennessee wideout corps. The Titans will have to decide this spring whether to exercise Burks' fifth-year option for 2026, but the team will almost certainly decline the option after the receiver has tallied just 53 receptions for 699 yards and one touchdown on 92 targets over 27 games through his first three seasons in the league.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Won't play in Buffalo

Burks (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bills, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Burks' absence could lead to additional opportunities for Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, who scored his first touchdown of the season in this past Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Colts. Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins and Tyler Boyd continue to occupy the top three spots on the wide receiver depth chart in Tennessee's low-octane passing game. Burks' next chance to suit up will be Week 8 in Detroit, though his absence may extend beyond that point, as coach Brian Callahan said Friday that Burks may need to go on IR, per Wyatt.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Limited to open week

Burks was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Burks played just nine offensive snaps during the Titans' Week 6 loss to the Colts and may have come out of the outing a little bit worse for the wear. Even so, he'll have two more chances to increase his practice participation ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills. Burks has seen his role in the Titans offense decrease as the season has progressed, and he's thus far been limited to four receptions for 34 yards through five games.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Role shrinks in loss

Burks recorded one reception on one target for 10 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Colts. Burks has one catch in four of five games this season, so his stat line wasn't all that surprising. However, he played a season-low nine offensive snaps (16 percent), three fewer than Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Another one-catch game

Burks recorded one catch on one target for 13 yards in Monday's 31-12 win over the Dolphins. Burks continued to play around 50 percent of offensive snaps and maintained a limited role in the Titans' game plan. He has no more than one reception in any game this season, and his 13-yard catch late in the first quarter Monday was his longest of the campaign.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: One catch in Week 3 loss

Burks recorded one catch (on three targets) for nine yards in Sunday's 30-14 loss to the Packers. Burks' role in the offense remained stable at a 50 percent snap rate, but he has been targeted only six times through three games. Even with DeAndre Hopkins still limited by a knee injury, Burks has struggled to earn a consistent role in the Tennessee offense.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: No stats in Week 2

Burks was targeted once but did not record a catch in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Jets. Burks saw his snap rate fall from 70 percent in Week 1 to 50 percent Sunday. That was primarily due to DeAndre Hopkins ramping up his workload, and that trend will likely continue as the season progresses.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Limited to three touches

Burks recorded one reception (on two targets) for two yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Bears. He added two rushes for one yard. Burks was on the field for 44 offensive snaps, which was more than expected as DeAndre Hopkins was severely limited due to an ongoing knee issue. Despite the opportunity, Burks made a limited impact on the game as his longest gain went for only six yards.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Back at practice

Burks participated in practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Per Wyatt, Burks, who left Wednesday's practice with a trainer after landing hard on the field, appeared unhindered Thursday, which sets the stage for the wideout to be available for Sunday's preseason finale against the Saints. The Titans remain hopeful that DeAndre Hopkins (knee) will be ready for Week 1 action, but in the meantime, Burks is in a position to see added WR reps alongside Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd.

  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Takes field with first unit

Burks hauled in his lone target for 12 yards in Saturday's 17-13 preseason win over the 49ers. Burks continues to run with the first-unit offense alongside Calvin Ridley while DeAndre Hopkins (knee) remains questionable for the start of the regular season. The larger role would certainly boost Burks' fantasy stock, which took a hit following the signing of Ridley this past offseason. Even when the Titans' veteran wideouts are healthy, Burks figures to remain a part of the passing game in a slot role.
... See More ... See Less
  • Titans' Treylon Burks: Still has role in crowded WR room

Coach Brian Callahan said Thursday that Burks still has a role in Tennessee's wide receiver corps after the team's signing of veteran slot specialist Tyler Boyd, Nick Suss of the Nashville Tennessean reports. Callahan said of Burks' offseason "the work that he's put in has been really impressive," per Turron Davenport of ESPN, but the 2022 first-round pick may nonetheless have slid to No. 4 on the depth chart following Boyd's arrival, with Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins entrenched as Will Levis' clear top targets. The 225-pound wideout could still certainly have untapped potential, as he's battled injuries throughout the first two years of his NFL career, but his path to consistent opportunities has grown murkier despite Tennessee most ignoring the WR position in April's draft. For fantasy purposes, at least, Burks' prospects for 2024 will look dim if he's not able to beat out Boyd for the No. 3 role in training camp. Callahan did, at least, say that Burks will earn opportunities to line up both inside and outside.
