Storm Duck: Getting waived
The Dolphins waived Duck (knee) from their reserve/PUP list Tuesday.
Just as Duck seemed to be fully recovered from the knee injury that landed him on the PUP list prior to Week 1, Miami decided to part ways with him. Unless he's claimed by another team during the current waiver period, he's now on track to become an unrestricted free agent.

The Dolphins opened Duck's (knee) 21-day practice window Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Duck was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. The Dolphins have until Oct. 21 to return the cornerback to the active roster, or the team will need to keep the 25-year-old on the reserve/PUP list for the remainder of the 2026 season.

Dolphins' Storm Duck: Placed on PUP list
Duck (knee) was moved to the reserve/PUP list by Miami on Sunday.
Duck spent the entirety of training camp and the preseason on the active/PUP list as he continues to nurse a knee injury that he suffered in October. The cornerback will now be forced to miss at least four contests to open the 2026 campaign, and the earliest he'd be able to return to action is Week 5 against the Bengals on Oct. 11.

Duck (knee) will not be able to participate in full during OTAs, C Isaiah Smalls II of The Miami Herald reports.
The cornerback suffered a season-ending knee injury in an October regular-season game last year against the Falcons. While he's clearly still dealing with the issue, the fact that he's able to participate at all might be a step in the right direction ahead of training camp. Duck has started four of the 16 games he's played in across two NFL seasons.
