  • Seahawks' Charles Cross: Ramping up participation

Cross (finger) participated in 11-on-11 team drills at practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official website reports. Cross has been slowly ramping up his participation at practice recently. Head coach Mike Macdonald described the offensive tackle as someone that "wants to do everything" and it seems like he's progressing well. Cross underwent surgery to repair a dislocated finger in late July, but he remains on track to be available for the team's regular-season opener Sept. 7 versus the 49ers.

Cross (toe) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup with the Giants. Cross will be unavailable for a third straight contest while he continues to nurse a toe injury he suffered in the season opener. • Seahawks' Charles Cross: Doubtful Monday

Cross (toe) is listed as doubtful ahead of Monday night's game against the Giants, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. The ninth overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft will likely miss his third consecutive game as he continues to recover from the toe injury he suffered during Seattle's Week 1 loss to the Rams. If Cross does miss Monday night's contest, Stone Forsythe is expected to continue filling in at left tackle.

  • Seahawks' Charles Cross: Misses practice Wednesday

Cross (toe) did not participate at Seattle's practice Wednesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. Cross was forced to miss the Seahawks' first practice of the week after being carted off the field in Week 1 with a sprained toe. Head coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that the offensive lineman is "hurting" and that it's going to be a "challenge" for him to play in Week 2, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Fellow offensive tackle Abraham Lucas (kneecap) was placed on injured reserve while veteran Jason Peters was signed to the practice squad earlier this week.
