McCormick was waived by the 49ers on Thursday.
The running back was let go to help make room for the signing of fellow running backs Jermar Jefferson and Jordan Mims. McCormick signed with the 49ers in April after spending time on the team's practice squad in 2025. He last appeared in a regular-season game in 2024 with the Raiders.

McCormick spent time with San Francisco during the 2025 campaign, though he never appeared in a regular-season game. His last regular-season appearance came in 2024 with the Raiders, when he played in five contests and on 84 offensive snaps.

Sincere McCormick: Inks to Vikings' practice squad
Minnesota signed McCormick to the practice squad Wednesday.
McCormick hasn't yet appeared in a regular-season game this year, though he's logged stints on the practice squads of the 49ers, Cardinals and Broncos. After Jordan Mason (ankle) missed Week 18, McCormick will now provide the Vikings with some additional backfield depth heading into the team's regular-season finale against Green Bay on Sunday.

The Broncos cut McCormick from the practice squad Tuesday, Luca Evans of The Denver Post reports.
McCormick was signed to the practice squad last week, but his tenure is over after the Broncos claimed Cody Schrader off waivers from the Texans on Monday. After producing a 39-183-0 rushing line across five games as a rookie with the Raiders last season, McCormick has yet to appear in a regular-season contest in 2025.

McCormick was signed to the Broncos' practice squad Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official website reports.
McCormick was let go by Arizona on Dec. 2, but he quickly found a new home with Denver. The running back spent time with both the 49ers' and Cardinals' practice squads this year, and he'll provide the Broncos' with an additional extreme depth option behind RJ Harvey while J.K. Dobbins (foot) is on injured reserve.

McCormick joined the Cardinals' practice squad this past Friday, but his stint in Arizona has come to a quick end. He appeared in five regular-season games for the Raiders in 2024 and should garner interest from teams looking to add a running back who can also contribute on special teams.

Sincere McCormick: Unable to land roster spot
Las Vegas waived McCormick on Tuesday, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports.
After injuries hit the Raiders' running-back room last season, McCormick got an opportunity to play significant snaps late in the campaign and tallied 142 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries across Weeks 13 and 14. However, he injured his ankle in Week 15 and ended the season on IR. McCormick was competing for a depth role behind Las Vegas newcomers Ashton Jeanty and Raheem Mostert during the preseason, but the team is opting to fill out the RB room with Zamir White and Dylan Laube instead.
