  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Has prominent role in win

Dulin had two receptions for 55 yards on five targets in Sunday's win over Las Vegas. He got the start at receiver in a three-receiver set and played on 47 of the offense's 66 snaps. Dulin moved into the starting lineup with Alec Pierce (concussion) missing his second straight game and with Adonai Mitchell demoted due to dropping the football prior to passing the goal line to wipe out a would-be 76-yard touchdown and then committing a holding penalty to negate a 53-yard touchdown in Week 4. Mitchell played just six snaps late in the game after it became a blowout win. Dulin could stay in a top three receiver role if both Pierce and Mitchell remain out of the mix next week against Arizona.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Could serve as third receiver

Dulin could see increased snaps in Sunday's game against the Raiders as the Colts' No. 3 receiver behind Michael Pittman and Josh Downs, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Alec Pierce (concussion) is set to miss his second straight game, once again leaving a void in the Indianapolis receiver corps. While Pierce was sidelined for last Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Rams, Adonai Mitchell stepped in as the Colts' No. 3 wideout and played 89 percent of snaps while finishing with three catches for 96 yards on four targets. However, after dropping the football prior to passing the goal line to wipe out a would-be 76-yard touchdown and then committing a holding penalty to negate a 53-yard Jonathan Taylor touchdown run later in the game, Mitchell is active for Week 5 but is expected to see his role on offense get downsized following his pair of major gaffes. The door is thus open for Dulin to see more reps at receiver, though the 28-year-old may serve as a more of a sacrificial downfield threat rather than someone who will command meaningful target volume. Over 74 career games in six seasons, Dulin has turned in a meager 36-528-4 receiving line on 61 targets.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Minimal role on offense in opener

Dulin had one carry on a reverse for 15 yards in Sunday's win over Miami. He played on 10 of the offense's 73 snaps but did not have a target in the passing game. He also had one kick return for 27 yards. Dulin is the No. 5 receiver and key special-teams player who is used on gadget plays on offense. He's been productive when elevated to a larger role on the offense, but he's not going to get many targets unless there are injuries elsewhere in the receiving corps. Dulin looked fully healthy after missing time in the preseason due to a concussion.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Full go for Week 1

Dulin (concussion) did not appear on the Colts' injury report Wednesday. Dulin was sidelined with a concussion to close the preseason, but he has now returned to a log a full practice Wednesday. The wide receiver will open the season as more of a special-teams option than an offensive asset, but he'll be active nonetheless in Sunday's matchup with the Dolphins.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Recovering from concussion

Head coach Shane Steichen told reporters Monday that Dulin has been "progressing well" in his recovery from a concussion that he sustained during practice last week, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. The injury forced Dulin to miss the Colts' preseason finale against the Bengals on Saturday. He'll need to clear the league's five-step concussion protocol in order to be available for the Colts' Week 1 contest against the Dolphins on Sunday, Sept. 7. Dulin finished the 2024 regular season with two catches (on eight targets) for 67 yards and a touchdown while adding five carries for 45 yards and 148 kick-return yards across 15 regular-season games.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Three receptions in preseason loss

Dulin had three receptions for 54 yards on seven targets in Thursday's preseason loss to Baltimore. Dulin started at wide receiver with most starters sitting out the game and led the team in receiving yards. Dulin is a key special teams player and has shown a spark at times on offense, but may not get many snaps on offense as the No. 5 wide receiver.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Back to Indianapolis

The Colts re-signed Dulin to a two-year contract Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The deal is worth up to $8.5 million. Dulin doesn't contribute much on offense, but he's a stalwart on special teams for the Colts. Dulin has a total of 35 catches for 517 yards and four touchdowns since entering the NFL in 2019 as an undrafted free agent out of Malone.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Only two catches in 2024

Dulin secured two of eight targets for 67 yards and one touchdown across 15 regular-season appearances with the Colts in 2024. He also rushed five times for 45 yards and compiled 148 yards on kick returns. Dulin spent the 2024 campaign contributing largely in a depth role on offense for Indianapolis while also handling a career-high 292 snaps on special teams. On offense, Dulin largely operated as a blocker or occasional deep threat. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Set to play Sunday

Dulin (ankle) is not among the Colts' inactives for their Week 16 matchup against Tennessee on Sunday. Dulin logged a full practice Friday, though he entered the weekend with a questionable tag. He'll ultimately be able to play through his ankle injury after missing each of Indianapolis past two games. Dulin could see more offensive reps than usual with Alec Pierce (concussion) inactive for Sunday's contest, though Dulin shouldn't be counted on by fantasy managers for production given that he hasn't recorded a catch since Week 2.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Questionable to face Tennessee

Dulin (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans. Dulin was able to get in a full practice Friday following a limited session Thursday. With Alec Pierce (concussion) ruled out, Dulin and rookie Adonai Mitchell are expected to see increased snaps behind Michael Pittman and Josh Downs. Dulin has missed the last two games and is known more for his blocking prowess at the position. He has two catches for 67 yards and one touchdown this season but hasn't caught a pass since Week 2.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Not spotted at Thursday's practice

Dulin (ankle) is not participating in the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports. Dulin hasn't played since Week 12 due to an ankle injury, and despite the Colts being fresh off a bye, it appears the depth wideout is trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's road matchup against the Broncos. If Dulin is indeed unable to suit up versus Denver, his absence will most be felt by Indianapolis on special teams.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Opens week as DNP

Dulin (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday. Dulin missed the Colts' Week 13 win over the Patriots and has yet to return to practice since sustaining an ankle injury the game prior. The Malone product will likely be sidelined for the second consecutive game in a Week 15 matchup against the Broncos if he can't practice in a limited fashion Thursday or Friday. However, if he can play in Sunday's contest, he'll primarily add value to Indianapolis' special-teams unit.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Will not return Sunday

Dulin (ankle) will not return to Sunday's game against the Lions, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. The wide receiver was unable to catch his only target of the day before leaving the contest. With Josh Downs questionable to return due to a shoulder injury, Indianapolis is down to three healthy wide receivers in Michael Pittman, Alec Pierce and Adonai Mitchell.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: One carry in loss

Dulin had one carry for nine yards but didn't have any targets in Sunday's loss at Jacksonville. Dulin played on 15 of the offense's 70 snaps as the Colts frequently deployed multiple-receiver sets while playing from behind much of the game. Dulin is a key special-teams player, but he won't get many more snaps per game as the No. 5 receiver on offense, barring injuries elsewhere in the receiving corps.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Just one reception in loss

Dulin had one reception for 13 yards on two targets in Sunday's 16-10 loss at Green Bay. Dulin played on 24 of the offense's 56 snaps as he got time as the fourth receiver with Josh Downs (ankle) out. Dulin's role on offense could be reduced if Downs is able to return against Chicago in Week 3. Dulin remains a key player on special teams, however.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Scores TD in season opener

Dulin had one reception for a 54-yard touchdown on his lone target in Sunday's loss to Houston. Dulin played on 11 of the offense's 45 snaps as he got time as the fourth receiver. He played more snaps than Anthony Gould (seven) among the reserve receivers. Dulin is unlikely to play a major role if the top three or four receivers (Josh Downs could return this week from an ankle injury) are healthy.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Misses game with hamstring injury

Dulin (hamstring) did not play in Sunday's preseason loss to Denver. Dulin missed practice Friday with a hamstring injury, and the severity of the injury isn't clear. He suffered a season-ending torn ACL back in August 2023 but had returned to practice at full speed at the start of training camp.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Participating fully in practice

Dulin (knee) was a full-go in the Colts' Friday practice and is a "frequent flyer for [Joe] Flacco during 11-on-11s," Jake Arthur of Sports Illustrated reports. Dulin suffered a season-ending torn ACL back in August of 2023, but his recovery journey now looks to be complete. The 6-foot-1 wide receiver has been practicing fully with Indianapolis, and it appears he also has created a solid connection with backup quarterback Joe Flacco ahead of the season.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Back for camp

Dulin was spotted working out during Thursday's practice, Jake Arthur of SI.com reports. The Malone product is continuing to work back from the ACL tear he suffered before the beginning of Indianapolis' 2023 season, but it's a positive sign to see him on the field at all. If the recovery process continues going well for Dulin, he could be a full participant in practices in the near future.

  • Colts' Ashton Dulin: Progressing, but without timeline

Dulin, who tore his ACL during training camp last season, said Wednesday that he still doesn't have a timetable for his return to full football activities, James Boyd of The Athletic reports. Dulin is feeling good and doing work on the field, which at least notes that he's making progress on some level in his recovery from knee surgery. The 26-year-old probably would have operated as the team's No. 4 wideout had he been healthy in 2023, and he'll likely be competing for the same role in 2024 once he's back to 100 percent.
