Cowboys' Corey Ballentine: Inks with Dallas
The Cowboys signed Ballentine to a one-year contract Monday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Ballentine spent last summer with the Packers but was cut ahead of Week 1 and signed with New England, spending most of September with the team. He then signed with Dallas, where he spent much of the 2025 campaign on the practice squad. Ballentine will compete for a job this offseason.

Ballentine was released by Indianapolis on Friday after signing a one-year contract with them in March and now returns to a familiar place. The 29-year-old has played in Green Bay the last three seasons, appearing in 37 games and recording seven pass deflections. Ballentine played in Green Bay the last three years, and in 2024 he finished the regular season with six solo tackles and one forced fumble across 15 games while adding 21 kick return yards. He'll likely reprise his special teams role in Indianapolis, but Ballentine also adds veteran depth to the Colts' secondary.
