Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: First NFL TD among 23 catches
Ruckert caught 23 of 29 targets for 179 yards and one touchdown while playing in all 17 games in 2025.
Ruckert set career highs in catches, receiving yards and targets in his fourth NFL season, and the 2022 third-round draft pick scored his first NFL touchdown in Week 2 against the Bills. After signing a two-year, $10 million contract extension with his hometown team in December, the Lindenhurst, New York native is poised to retain the second spot on the Jets' tight end depth chart behind 2025 second-round pick Mason Taylor (neck) in 2026.

Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: One catch in Week 17
Ruckert caught one of three targets for two yards in Sunday's 42-10 loss to the Patriots.
In the ongoing absence of Mason Taylor (neck), Ruckert has ceded most of the pass-catching opportunities to Stone Smartt. Ruckert has three catches for 16 yards on six targets over the past two games, while Smartt has caught seven of eight targets for 52 yards in that span. Heading into the regular-season finale against the Bills, Ruckert has exceeded two catches only twice this season.

Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: Inks extension with Gang Green
Ruckert signed a two-year, $10 million extension with the Jets on Wednesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The fourth-year pro from Ohio State has agreed to a new deal that keeps him with the Jets through the 2027 season. Ruckert has played a reserve role for most of his NFL career, catching 55 of 75 targets for 427 receiving yards and one touchdowns across 55 games. His role in the Jets' offense could grow following Wednesday's extension, though he's still expected to remain the top backup behind Mason Taylor.

Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: Catches two passes vs. Jacksonville
Ruckert caught both of his targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 48-20 loss to the Jaguars.
The Ohio State product recorded the fifth-most receiving yards on the Jets while filling in for the injured Mason Taylor (neck) during Sunday's loss. Ruckert has now caught 20 of 23 targets for 163 yards and one touchdown across 14 appearances this season. He's expected to return to a reserve role if Taylor is active for the Week 16 matchup against the Saints.

Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: Prepared for increased role
Ruckert is set to have a bigger role in Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
In the absence of Mason Taylor (neck), Ruckert is set to take on a bigger role, likely in both the pass and run game. The tight end will likely be utilized as an additional blocker to protect Brady Cook and to open up holes for Breece Hall, but his ability in the receiving game cannot be understated. Ruckert has 18 receptions for 150 yards and one touchdown on 21 targets this season as the backup to Mason Taylor. Being thrust into the No. 1 tight end role means the 2022 third-rounder could see a further increased target share in Sunday's contest as well.

Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: Two catches in Week 14 loss
Ruckert caught two of three targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Dolphins.
Ruckert has registered multiple catches in consecutive games for the first time this season. He remains a distant second on the depth chart behind Mason Taylor, and Ruckert has yet to exceed 28 yards in a game in 2025.

Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: Catches both targets in win
Ruckert caught both of his targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Falcons.

Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: Ties career high with four catches
Ruckert caught four of five targets for 23 yards in Thursday's 27-14 loss to the Patriots.
Ruckert tied for the team lead in catches with Mason Taylor, as Justin Fields frequently looked for his tight ends in the absence of top wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee), who was placed on IR prior to the game. Taylor has a higher ceiling as a pass catcher than Ruckert, as the latter hasn't exceeded 28 yards in a game this season. Ruckert's four catches tied his career high, which he set in Week 5 against the Cowboys.

Jets' Jeremy Ruckert: Another one-catch game
Ruckert caught his only target for no gain in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Browns.
Ruckert's catch accounted for one of just six passes completed by Justin Fields, who threw for only 54 yards in the win. Ruckert's backup role in a low-octane passing offense doesn't inspire much confidence for fantasy production.
