  • Commanders' Chig Okonkwo: Set to join Commanders

Okonkwo has agreed to terms on a three-year contract with Washington, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Okonkwo is moving on from Tennessee after four seasons to become the new top pass-catching TE for quarterback Jayden Daniels, joining a positional room that also includes Ben Sinnott and John Bates (who combined for 22 catches in 2025). Now entering his age-27 season, Okonkwo has tallied over 400 receiving yards in four consecutive years and brings a respectable production floor to the Commanders. For fantasy purposes, Okonkwo will be a sleeper breakout candidate at the tight end position in the event that Daniels is the quarterback able to unlock the untapped potential promised by Okonkwo's YAC abilities and speed (4.52 40).

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Ends 2025 quietly

Okonkwo recorded two receptions (on five targets) for two yards in Sunday's 41-7 loss to the Jaguars. Okonkwo had emerged as a favorite target of Cam Ward (shoulder) in recent weeks, logging at least six targets in each of the last three games while also scoring two touchdowns in that span. However, the entire offense suffered once Brandon Allen was forced into action, leaving Okonkwo with a disappointing line to end the regular season. Okonkwo still managed to log career highs in receptions (56), yards (560) and targets (79) across 17 regular-season games. He's set to hit free agency this offseason and is likely to join a new offense after Gunnar Helm established himself as an effective pass catcher at tight end in his rookie year.

  • Titans' Chigoziem Okonkwo: Sleeper TEs

Gunnar Helm (toe) is out for Week 18 at Jacksonville, which is a boost for Okonkwo, who is playing well coming into this matchup. He has nine catches for 99 yards and two touchdowns on 15 targets in his past two games against Kansas City and New Orleans, and he scored at least 14.5 PPR points in each outing. Okonkwo had four catches for 29 yards on five targets in Week 13 against the Jaguars, and Jacksonville has allowed eight tight ends to score at least 10.1 PPR points this season.

  • Titans' Chigoziem Okonkwo: Week 18 Waiver Priority List

Okonkwo is hot coming into Week 18 at Jacksonville with nine catches for 99 yards and two touchdowns on 15 targets in his past two games against Kansas City and New Orleans, and he scored at least 14.5 PPR points in each outing. He had four catches for 29 yards on five targets in Week 13 against the Jaguars, and Okonkwo is worth using as a low-end starter in all leagues in Week 18.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Hauls in first TD of 2025

Okonkwo caught six of eight targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-9 win over Kansas City. The fourth-year tight end tied his season high in receptions and set a new season high in targets while getting into the end zone for the first time in 2025, as he connected with Cam Ward on a seven-yard score in the second quarter. Okonkwo appeared to have fallen behind rookie Gunnar Helm on the depth chart a few weeks ago, but the two have seen roughly equal usage of late, with Okonkwo's 12-97-1 line on 16 targets over the last three games nosing ahead of Helm's 7-66-1 line on nine targets. Okonkwo will look to build on this performance in Week 17 against the Saints.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Two catches in win

Okonkwo caught both of his targets for 20 yards in Sunday's 31-29 win over the Browns. Okonkwo was once again relatively quiet in Week 14, recording his lowest catch total since Week 9 while failing to reach the end zone for the 13th game in a row. The tight end has been displaced as the team's top option at his position by rookie Gunnar Helm, greatly limiting his upside from a fantasy perspective. Okonkwo will look to score his first touchdown of the year in Week 15 against the 49ers.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Suiting up for Week 13

Okonkwo (foot) is active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Okonkwo has been on the injury report with a foot issue for the past month, but he's rarely entered the weekend with an injury designation. While he was listed as questionable to suit up, Okonkwo is in line to play against Jacksonville. While Gunnar Helm has started to earn more targets, Okonkwo has still been on the field for at least 60 percent of offensive snaps in five consecutive contests.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: In line to play Sunday

Okonkwo (foot), who is officially questionable for Sunday's game against Jacksonville, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Okonkwo has been dealing with a foot issue since late October, but it hasn't yet caused him to miss any games. He appears likely to suit up again in Week 13, despite sitting out Thursday's practice and being limited in two others. Okonkwo and fellow tight end Gunnar Helm have logged near-identical offensive snap counts each of the past two weeks, so it wouldn't be surprising for that trend to continue Sunday.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Questionable for Week 13

Okonkwo (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Okonkwo got in a limited practice Friday following Thursday's DNP, giving the tight end a chance to suit up against Jacksonville. If Okonkwo is unable to play, rookie Gunnar Helm would seem to be in line for more snaps on offense. Okonkwo has a scoreless 35-377-0 receiving line on 46 targets through 11 contests this season.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Tallies 40 yards in Week 12 loss

Okonkwo caught three passes (on four targets) for 40 yards during the Titans' 30-24 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday. Okonkwo was cleared to play Sunday after working through a foot injury during Week 12 prep. He was one of four Titans pass catchers to log at least 40 receiving yards, though notably, he was outproduced by rookie tight end Gunnar Helm, the latter of whom led Tennessee with six catches for 51 yards while tying Chimere Dike for a team-high seven targets. Okonkwo has caught at least three passes in three of his last four games, and for the year he has accumulated 35 catches (on 46 targets) for 377 yards and zero touchdowns across 11 regular-season games. Next up for the Titans is a Week 13 clash against the Jaguars, whose defense yielded a 9-79-0 line (on 10 targets) to Trey McBride in an overtime win over the Cardinals on Sunday.

  • Titans' Chigoziem Okonkwo: Sleeper TEs

Chimere Dike (chest) is cleared to play Sunday against the Seahawks, but Elic Ayomanor (hamstring) is out, while Calvin Ridley (leg) is done for the season. Okonkwo and Gunnar Helm could be thrust into bigger roles against Seattle, and this is a good matchup since the Seahawks are No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Okonkwo just had three catches for 56 yards on three targets against the Texans in Week 11, and Helm had four catches for 29 yards on five targets. I like Okonkwo better than Helm, but both are worth a look in deeper leagues as sleepers.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Logs limited practice Wednesday

Okonkwo (foot) was limited in practice Wednesday. Okonkwo continues to manage a foot issue that limited him at practice last week, but the tight end approached Week 11 action without an injury designation before catching all three of his targets for 56 yards in this past Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Texans. With no reported setbacks in the contest, Okonkwo's listed limitations Wednesday are likely maintenance-related.

  • Titans' Chigoziem Okonkwo: Week 12 Waiver Priority List

The Titans are dealing with three injuries at receiver with Calvin Ridley (leg) out for the season, as well as Chimere Dike (chest) and Elic Ayomanor (hamstring) also getting hurt in Week 11 against Houston. Okonkwo and Gunnar Helm (2 percent rostered) could be thrust into bigger roles in Week 12 against Seattle, and this is a good matchup since the Seahawks are No. 5 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Okonkwo just had three catches for 56 yards on three targets against the Texans, and Helm had four catches for 29 yards on five targets. I like Okonkwo better than Helm, but both are worth a look in deeper leagues for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Three catches in loss

Okonkwo caught all three of his targets for 56 yards in Sunday's 16-13 loss to Houston. Okonkwo led the way for his team with 56 receiving yards, which was his highest total since Week 3. The tight end has now registered multiple receptions in three straight contests and eight of 10 games overall this season, but he has still yet to find the end zone. Okonkwo will look to find paydirt in Week 12 against the Seahawks.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Cleared to face Texans

Okonkwo (foot) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Okonkwo was limited in all three of Tennessee's practices coming out of a Week 10 bye, but his status for Sunday's game isn't in doubt. Rookie fourth-round pick Gunnar Helm has been pushing Okonkwo for playing time, and the Titans may generally struggle to move the ball against a Houston defense that's allowing a league-low 16.7 points per game.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Limited in practice again

Okonkwo (foot) was limited in practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Okonkwo has been limited in each of Tennessee's first practices of Week 11, meaning Friday will be his final opportunity to upgrade his activity level. As long as Okonkwo is able to again handle at least limited reps Friday, though, it stands to reason he'll be able to play through his foot injury versus the Texans on Sunday. He toughed out the issue Week 9 versus the Chargers, after which the Titans benefited from a bye.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Cleared to play Sunday

Okonkwo (foot) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Chargers. Okonkwo was able to log a full practice Friday. Splitting snaps with Gunnar Helm at tight end, Okonkwo has produced just a 27-271-0 receiving line through eight games this season. He's not a recommended fantasy target.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Logs limited practice

Okonkwo (foot) was limited in practice Wednesday. Okonkwo put together a solid performance during Tennessee's loss to the Colts in Week 8, securing four of five targets for 53 yards, but he appears to have picked up a foot injury in the process. The starting tight end will have two more chances to upgrade to full practice reps ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chargers. If Okonkwo is limited in any capacity versus Los Angeles, or even unavailable, rookie fourth-round pick Gunnar Helm will stand to see a notable uptick in opportunities.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Strong PPR results Sunday

Okonkwo finished with six receptions on as many targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Raiders. Okonkwo's six targets Sunday tied his previous season high, while the six grabs set a new high-water mark through six starts. Aside from a one-catch dud in Week 4, the veteran tight end has carved out a consistent role in the passing game. Okonkwo will carry a 23-218-0 receiving line into next Sunday's tilt against the Patriots.
... See More ... See Less
  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Four yards on three targets

Okonkwo recorded one catch on three targets for four yards in Sunday's 26-0 loss to the Texans. Cam Ward's struggles continued, as he completed only 38.5 percent of his passes while passing for 108 yards. No skill-position player on Tennessee's roster was able to excel as a result, and Okonkwo was no exception. The tight end leads the team in catches with 13 and is third in targets with 19, but that volume has resulted in only 124 receiving yards and zero TDs through four games.
