  • Saints' Chris Olave: Listed as questionable

Olave (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Miami after returning to practice Friday as a limited participant. A quick return to practice suggests Olave's injury isn't serious. He left practice early Wednesday and didn't participate Thursday, but mixing back into drills at the end of the week -- even in a limited capacity -- suggests he's got a real chance to avoid the inactive list ahead of a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Returns to practice

Olave (back) returned to practice Friday, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. Olave left Wednesday's practice early and then didn't participate Thursday, but it appears he still has a shot to play this Sunday against the Dolphins.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Downgrades to DNP

Olave (back) did not practice Thursday, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports. Olave was listed as limited on Wednesday's injury report, with head coach Kellen Moore noting that the star wide receiver had been forced to depart the session early. It now looks like Olave's status is legitimately up-in-the-air for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, and could come down to whether he's able to get back on the practice field Friday. With Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle) having missed back-to-back practices due to a sprained MCL, the Saints are in danger of being down two crucial playmakers Week 13.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Dealing with back issue

Coach Kellen Moore said Olave was limited at Wednesday's practice due to a back injury, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Per Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football, Olave made an early exit from Wednesday's session, after which Moore revealed the reason. The Saints will post two more injury reports this week before potentially clearing up Olave's status ahead of Sunday's contest at Miami. In four games with rookie QB Tyler Shough under center, Olave has produced a 25-294-1 line on 37 targets.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Leading receiver on 13 targets

Olave had nine receptions on 13 targets for 70 yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Falcons. Olave stayed hot coming out of the Saints' bye week despite his team finding itself back in the loss column after beating the Panthers in Week 10. The 25-year-old generated a stellar PPR score on the backs of his second-highest target and reception totals of 2025. The Ohio State product continues to display a good rapport with rookie QB Tyler Shough, with the duo producing 17 receptions for 231 yards and a touchdown in the three games the latter has started this season. Olave should be treated as a starting-caliber receiver with a high fantasy floor in next Sunday's road tilt against Miami.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: WRs to Start

Olave was great in Week 10 at Carolina with five catches for 104 yards and a touchdown on eight targets, and he should continue to be the main weapon in the passing game for Tyler Shough heading into Week 12 against the Falcons. Atlanta has allowed seven receivers to score at least 12.8 PPR points in the past five games, with eight touchdowns over that span, and Olave has scored at least 14.6 PPR points in three games in a row against the Falcons prior to this matchup.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Breaks out with rookie QB

Olave caught five of eight targets for 104 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-7 win over the Panthers. The fourth-year wideout put together his best performance of the season in terms of yardage, capped by a 62-yard TD in the second quarter. Olave failed to see double-digit targets for only the fourth time in 2025, but he's showing some good early chemistry with rookie QB Tyler Shough, who was making his second career start. Olave will take a 60-664-4 line on 94 targets through 10 games into the Saints' bye, before facing the Falcons in Week 12.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Limited to four targets Week 9

Olave accrued three receptions (on four targets) for 57 yards during Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Rams. Olave was not the primary target for rookie quarterback Tyler Shough, who made his first career start Sunday after replacing previous QB1 Spencer Rattler at the end of the Week 8 loss to Tampa Bay. Instead, No.2 wide receiver Rashid Shaheed led the Saints with nine targets. Olave tied with tight end Juwan Johnson for the team's second-most targets, which represented a season low for the wideout. It didn't help that LA dominated New Orleans in time of possession 43:53-16:07. If the Saints' offense continues to struggle at this rate, Olave could be in store for another low output Week 10 versus division-rival Carolina.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Strong PPR effort Sunday

Olave corralled eight of 12 targets for 63 yards while losing three yards on his only rush attempt in Sunday's 23-3 loss to Tampa Bay. Olave was unable to replicate last week's multi-score performance, but he still escaped Sunday's one-sided loss with a solid PPR score. The Saints' top wideout finished with double-digit targets for the sixth time in eight appearances this season. Olave has surpassed last year's production in an injury-shortened season with a 52-503-3 receiving line through eight starts in 2025. The Ohio State product checks in as New Orleans' safest fantasy option heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Rams.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: WRs to Start

Olave continues to be a star for the Saints, and he's worth starting in all leagues in Week 8 against Tampa Bay. He's now scored at least 15.8 PPR points in each of his past two outings against New England and Chicago, and he combined for 11 catches, 196 yards and two touchdowns on 17 targets over that span. The Buccaneers have allowed the opposing No. 1 receiver to score at least 19.2 PPR points in each of the past three games (Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Kendrick Bourne and Amon-Ra St. Brown), and hopefully Olave will follow suit. He has top-10 upside in Week 8.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Limited in return to practice

Olave (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. Olave didn't appear to be nursing an injury during this past Sunday's 26-14 loss to the Bears, but the Saints nonetheless cited an ankle issue for his absence from Wednesday's practice. The receiver's ability to get back on the field Thursday as a limited participant offers hope that the injury isn't anything too serious, though he may still need to upgrade to full participation in Friday's practice to avoid carrying a questionable tag into Sunday's game versus the Buccaneers.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Returns to practice Thursday

Olave (ankle) was spotted taking part in practice Thursday during the media-access portion of the session, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. Olave was held out of the Saints' first Week 8 practice Wednesday on account of an ankle injury, but his presence on the field a day later offers hope that his absence was mostly maintenance-related. The Saints will release their second practice report of the week later Thursday, when it will be known whether Olave was a limited or full participant in the session. After his 2024 campaign was derailed by two concussions, Olave has enjoyed generally good health so far in 2025, suiting up for all seven of the Saints' games to date while producing a 44-440-3 receiving line on 70 targets.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: WRs to Start

Olave has scored at least 12.4 PPR points in four of six games this season, including two in a row against the Giants and Patriots. He has 21 targets in his past two outings, and he just had his best yardage game of the season in Week 6 against New England with 98. The Bears are No. 8 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and five guys have scored at least 13.6 PPR points against Chicago this year. I like Olave as a No. 2 Fantasy receiver in all leagues, with his value slightly higher in PPR.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Dealing with hip injury

Olave was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a hip injury. It's the first report this season of any limitations in practice, likely reflecting a new injury suffered during Sunday's 25-19 loss to the Patriots. Olave's practice participation at the start of Week 7, even in a limited capacity, suggests he's on track to play this Sunday against the Bears. He's accounted for a whopping 32.2 percent of New Orleans' targets this season, but with meager averages of 8.8 yards per catch and 5.3 yards per target. Olave did finally hit on a big play this past Sunday, catching a deep pass for 53 yards on the first snap of the game against New England.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Top DFS Play

Chris Olave is averaging 10.7 targets per game this year. Wide receivers are averaging 2.21 Fantasy points per target against the Bears this year. Two wide receivers have seen at least nine targets against the Bears. Amon-Ra St. Brown turned 11 targets into 38.5 PPR Fantasy points and George Pickens turned nine targets into 17.8 PPR Fantasy points. Don't be surprised if Olave tops 20 this week.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Just misses century mark in loss

Olave caught six of 10 targets for 98 yards in Sunday's 25-19 loss to the Patriots. The fourth-year wideout nearly produced his first 100-yard performance since Week 8 of last season, but Olave instead had to settle for a season high in receiving yards. He's been Spencer Rattler's favorite downfield option by far, seeing double-digit targets in five of six games to begin the campaign en route to a 39-342-1 line on 63 targets overall. Olave will look to stay productive in Week 7 against the Bears.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Team-high volume in win

Olave caught seven of 11 targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 26-14 win over the Giants. The catches and targets were both team highs, but Olave's output was overshadowed by an 87-yard TD by Rashid Shaheed in the second quarter that sparked the Saints' offense to life. Olave remains the the top option for QB Spencer Rattler, but his volume hasn't resulted in any big performances yet in 2025 -- despite seeing double-digit targets in four of five games and 53 looks in total, he sports just a 33-244-1 line, and Sunday's 59 receiving yards were actually his season high. He'll try to make a bigger impact in Week 6 against the Patriots.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Catches TD, throws INT

Olave hauled in three of six targets for 20 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 31-19 defeat versus the Bills. Olave logged his first touchdown of the season with a three-yard scoring grab in the third quarter. This was the silver lining, as he posted season lows in catches, targets and yards, while the Saints had more rushing attempts (34) than passing attempts (28) for the first time this season. Olave also threw an interception on his first career passing attempt. The fifth-year wideout tried to hit quarterback Spencer Rattler on a Philly Special-style trick play in the red zone, but the Bills sniffed out the play and picked it off to end the second quarter. Olave has shown good PPR value through four weeks, averaging 6.5 catches on 10.5 targets per game, but he's yet to record over 57 receiving yards in any contest. He'll look to record double-digit targets for the fourth time this season during New Orleans' next game versus the Giants on Sunday, Oct. 5.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: WRs to Sit

It's great that Olave has 23 targets in the first two games of the season against Arizona and San Francisco. But he's only managed 13 catches for 108 yards and no touchdowns with that volume, and it's tough to trust him in the majority of leagues heading into Week 3 at Seattle. This will be Spencer Rattler's first road game this season, and the Seahawks have been able to limit the passing attacks for San Francisco and Pittsburgh in the first two games of the year. Olave is only worth starting as a No. 3 PPR receiver given his volume, but he needs to do more with his receptions or find the end zone to be considered a starter in most leagues moving forward.

  • Saints' Chris Olave: Unlikely to play Sunday

Based on pregame warmups, Olave (ankle) is not in line to play in Sunday's preseason opener against the Chargers, Luke Johnson of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Neither Olave nor Rashid Shaheed were spotted warming up with the other Saints wideouts, though the latter was later spotted in uniform warming up with the punt return group, per Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana. Olave is working through a minor ankle injury, and his next opportunity to suit up will be against the Jaguars on Sunday, Aug. 17.
