McFadden missed the Giants' Week 2 loss to the Rams due to a neck injury. The linebacker was not able to log more than a limited practice session in the Week 2 build-up to Monday Night Football, a benchmark McFadden has already surpassed in Week 3 with his full session Wednesday. The 26-year-old should be healthy enough to suit up for Sunday's game against the Titans.

Giants' Micah McFadden: Won't play in Week 2
McFadden (neck) is inactive for Monday's game against the Rams, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
McFadden was limited in practice all week by a neck injury, but he's ultimately been ruled out for Monday's game after going through pregame warmups. He played solely on special teams during the Giants' Week 1 win over the Cowboys, but his absence means Jack Kelly will be the primary depth option at inside linebacker behind Tremaine Edmunds and rookie first-rounder Arvell Reese. McFadden's next chance to play is Week 3 against the Titans on Sept. 27.

Giants' Micah McFadden: Staying in New York
McFadden (foot) signed a one-year deal to return to the Giants on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
The 26-year-old from Indiana missed the Giants' final 16 games in 2025 due to a foot injury that required surgery, though his new deal to remain in New York suggests he's moved past the issue. McFadden has been one of the Giants' most reliable tacklers since entering the league in 2022, recording 267 total tackles, including 6.0 sacks, and five passes defensed during his first three regular seasons. Now fully healthy, he's expected to remain an integral part of New York's linebacker unit ahead of next season.

Giants' Micah McFadden: Progressing well postsurgery
McFadden started running on the field last week as he makes his way back from Lisfranc surgery for the foot injury he suffered in Week 1, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
McFadden could potentially return to practice this week, marking the first practice for the linebacker since he suffered his injury in the Giants' Week 1 loss to the Commanders. Giants' Micah McFadden: Not ready to return from IR
Head coach Brian Daboll told reporters Friday that McFadden (foot) is not ready to return from the injured reserve list, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports.
The 25-year-old was placed on IR and underwent foot surgery after sustaining an injury in the Giants' Week 1 loss to the Commanders. While he remains sidelined, Darius Muasau (ankle) and Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles are expected to have expanded roles on New York's defense.
