Joseph was sidelined with a hamstring injury at the Chiefs' training camp practice Tuesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Joseph signed with Kansas City in January, and he's expected to operate as a depth option behind Joshua Williams and Nazeeh Johnson at cornerback this season. The 24-year-old will look to get back on the practice field ahead of Saturday's preseason opener against the Jaguars.

Dolphins' Kelvin Joseph: Traded to Miami
Dallas traded Joseph to Miami in exchange for Noah Igbinoghene on Tuesday, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.
A 2021 second-round pick, Joseph appeared in 26 games over two seasons in Dallas, totaling 36 tackles, four pass defenses and one forced fumble. He'll look to carve out a role in a secondary that's already lost Jalen Ramsey (knee) for the season.

Cowboys' Kelvin Joseph: Practicing again
Joseph (back) participated in Dallas' practice Saturday, the team's official site reports.
The cornerback injured his back on June 7 and had to leave that day's session. A second-round pick in 2021, Joseph recorded 20 tackles, two passes defended and a forced fumble last season in 16 games (including one start). The 23-year-old is projected to play a backup role behind Trevon Diggs in 2023.
