Lions' Giovanni Manu: Moved to NFI list
The Lions placed Manu (knee) on the active/non-football injury list Wednesday.
Manu appeared in four games (one start) for the Lions during the 2025 regular season before being placed on injured reserve in mid-October due to a knee injury, which prevented him from playing the rest of the year. He's eligible to participate in training camp practice once he is fully healthy.

Lions' Giovanni Manu: Likely done for 2025
Manu (knee) isn't expected to play in Sunday's game against the Bears, Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports.
Despite being designated to return from injured reserve Dec. 18 and officially being listed as questionable, Manu doesn't appear as if he'll be activated from IR ahead of Sunday's regular-season finale. The second-year pro appeared in four regular-season games and started at left tackle against the Bengals in Week 5 before landing on IR in mid-October due to a knee injury.

Lions' Giovanni Manu: Designated to return to practice
The Lions have designated Manu (knee) to return from injured reserve.
Manu landed on IR in mid-October due to a knee injury. He's been able to log a pair of limited practices to begin this week, but it's unclear if he'll be activated in time for Detroit's matchup against Pittsburgh on Sunday. When (and if) Manu returns to action, he'll likely work in a rotational role along the offensive line.

Lions' Giovanni Manu: Lands on IR with knee injury
The Lions placed Manu (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.
Manu popped up on Thursday's practice report due to a knee injury and was unable to practice Friday. The injury appears severe enough for him to go on IR, and the 2024 fourth-rounder will be forced to miss at least the next four games, making Week 11 against the Eagles on Sunday, Nov. 16 the earliest he can return. With Manu and Taylor Decker (shoulder) both out, Dan Skipper is in line to start at left tackle against Kansas City on Sunday.
