  • Giants' CJ Okoye: Traded to New York

The Ravens traded Okoye to the Giants in exchange for a 2028 seventh-round pick Saturday, Ian Rapoport of ESPN and NFL Network reports.

The Nigerian player who signed with the Ravens through the International Player Pathway Program in 2025 was not set to make the team's 53-man roster this time around. Okoye will now be reunited with former head coach John Harbaugh and former defensive line coach Dennis Johnson in New York. While Okoye was not set to make the Ravens' roster, he will likely provide a good depth presence for the Giants' 3-4 defense throughout the regular season.

  • Ravens' CJ Okoye: Back with Baltimore

The Ravens signed Okoye to a one-year, $1 million contract Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Okoye came through the International Player Pathway Program and played 13 regular-season games for Baltimore last season, logging 214 defensive snaps and compiling 15 tackles along with a defensed pass. He'll likely continue to serve in a rotational role along the defensive line in 2026.

  • Ravens' CJ Okoye: Signed to Ravens' active roster

The Ravens signed Okoye from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Okoye joined the Ravens' practice squad in late August after failing to make the team's 53-man roster at the end of training camp. He was elevated from the practice squad twice and logged seven tackles (five solo) across two games. With Nnamdi Madubuike (neck) and Broderick Washington (ankle) both on injured reserve, Okoye's addition to the active roster gives the Ravens much-needed depth on the defensive line.

  • CJ Okoye: Gets practice-squad deal

Okoye signed with the Chargers' practice squad Wednesday.

Okoye was dealing with an elbow injury at the end of camp, but his inclusion on the practice squad, and lack of injury designation upon being waived initially suggests the 21-year-old is now healthy.

  • Chargers' CJ Okoye: Suffers apparent elbow injury

Okoye is questionable to return to Friday's preseason game after suffering an elbow injury.

Okoye seemed to injure his right elbow and is being checked out on the sidelines, per Daniel Popper of The Athletic. The defensive tackle signed with Los Angeles this offseason as a part of the International Player Pathway Program. Okoye recorded his first sack in an organized game of football this preseason and is fighting to make the Chargers' active roster as a depth piece on their defensive line. The extent of his injury is unknown at the moment.
