Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Slated for leading role with Jacobs out
Rotowire
Wilson is slated to lead the Packers backfield Sunday versus the Vikings with Josh Jacobs (knee) inactive, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
The decision on Jacobs came down to a pregame warmup, which he didn't pass. Wilson thus will be the top running back for Green Bay in Week 12. In the three contests in which he earned double-digit touches this season, he averaged 12.3 touches for 72.3 yards from scrimmage per game while scoring one rushing TD. Chris Brooks and practice-squad elevation Pierre Strong are on hand for the snaps that don't go to Wilson.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Sleeper RBs
Rotowire
Josh Jacobs (knee) was limited in practice Thursday and Friday, and he's listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Minnesota. And Matt LaFleur called Jacobs "day-to-day" after he was injured in Week 11 at the Giants. If Jacobs can't play in Week 12, then Wilson would be considered a No. 2 Fantasy running back in the majority of leagues. Wilson finished the Giants game with 11 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown, and one catch for 9 yards on one target. He has three games this season with at least 11 total touches in a reserve role behind Jacobs, and Wilson scored at least 11.1 PPR points in each outing. This isn't an easy matchup against the Vikings, who are No. 10 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. But six guys have scored at least 13 PPR points against Minnesota this season, and I'll take my chances with Wilson as a starter in most leagues if Jacobs is out.

Josh Jacobs (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, and Matt LaFleur called Jacobs "day-to-day" after he was injured in Week 11 at the Giants. It is no fun to blow your FAB budget on a back who may not start this week. But you may need to take that risk in Week 12. As of Tuesday, we are not expecting Josh Jacobs to play this week, which would make Emanuel Wilson a must-start running back. Wilson has had double-digit touches in two games this year and has scored 11 Fantasy points in both. In Week 12, he could see 15-20 touches against the Vikings. Minnesota's defense doesn't provide an easy matchup, but it's not one to avoid either. Maybe more importantly, their offense has been so meek that you should expect the Packers to be run-heavy against them.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Week 12 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
The NFL Network reported Monday that Josh Jacobs (knee) is considered day-to-day after he was injured in Week 11 at the Giants, but he could still miss Week 12 against Minnesota. If Jacobs is out then Wilson would be considered a No. 2 running back in the majority of leagues, and he's worth adding for at least 10-15 percent of your remaining FAB. Wilson replaced Jacobs against the Giants and had 11 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown and one catch for 9 yards on one target. Wilson has three games this season with at least 11 total touches in a reserve role behind Jacobs, and Wilson scored at least 11.1 PPR points in each outing. There's huge upside for Wilson is Jacobs is out.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Handles lead role after Jacobs exit
Rotowire
Wilson rushed 11 times for 40 yards and brought in his only target for nine yards in the Packers' 27-20 win over the Giants on Sunday. He also caught a two-point conversion pass.
Wilson helmed the ground attack following the first-half exit of Josh Jacobs due to a knee injury, and the former did a serviceable job with his opportunities. Wilson also caught a critical two-point conversion pass with 4:20 remaining that gave the Packers a seven-point lead that ultimately held up, and he'll be in line to handle the lead role again in a Week 12 home divisional clash against the Vikings next Sunday if Jacobs is sidelined.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Garners two touches in loss
Rotowire
Wilson rushed once for two yards and caught his lone target for two yards in Monday's 10-7 loss to the Eagles.
Wilson continued to operate as the Packers' primary backup running back, playing just 14 of Green Bay's 68 offensive snaps in the contest. Starter Josh Jacobs played 50 snaps and handled 26 touches as the preferred backfield option against Philadelphia. Going forward, Wilson should be considered nothing more than an insurance policy in the event Jacobs misses time with an injury down the stretch. The Packers are set to visit the Giants in Week 11.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Sleeper RBs
Rotowire
Wilson has done a nice job in tandem with Josh Jacobs, and Wilson comes into Week 9 against Carolina having scored at least 11.1 PPR points in two of his past four games. He just had 11 carries for 61 yards and three catches for 26 yards on four targets at Pittsburgh in Week 8, and the Packers could give Wilson the chance to help Jacobs close out this game if Green Bay is playing with a lead late in the fourth quarter. I like Wilson as a flex option in deeper leagues for Week 9.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Tallies seven touches
Rotowire
Wilson had six carries for 16 yards and one reception for one yard in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Panthers.
Wilson played roughly a third of Green Bay's offensive snaps for the third straight week, but in a more competitive contest in which the Packers relied more on starter Josh Jacobs, Wilson received half as many touches as he did Week 8. He was still far more involved than fellow reserve Chris Brooks and remains the No. 2 option in Green Bay's backfield.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Week 9 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Wilson is starting to look like a super handcuff to Josh Jacobs, and Wilson is worth adding in all leagues for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB. In Week 8 at Pittsburgh, Wilson had 11 carries for 61 yards and three catches for 26 yards on four targets. He's now scored at least 11.1 PPR points in two of his past four games, and he's a lottery ticket in case something happens to Jacobs. He's also a potential flex option in deeper formats given two of his performances in the past month.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Changes pace successfully Sunday
Rotowire
Wilson rushed 11 times for 61 yards while catching three of four targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 35-25 win over the Steelers.
Starter Josh Jacobs struggled on Sunday Night Football (13-33-1), affording Wilson extra opportunities in his usual change-of-pace role. The 26-year-old Wilson registered a season-high 87 yards from scrimmage while leading the Packers in rushing production. Wilson was averaging 4.8 combined touches over his previous six appearances, so Sunday's increased usage should be considered an aberration as opposed to a sign of things to come against the Panthers next Sunday.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Week 8 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
We got a scare heading into Week 7 that Josh Jacobs (calf) could miss the game at Arizona, which would have forced Wilson into a prominent role. Fantasy managers were scrambling to add Wilson in all leagues, and he would be a must-start option in most formats if Jacobs were to miss any time. It's not a bad idea to stash Wilson now if you have an open roster spot given his upside, and he's worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Workload remains minimal
Rotowire
Wilson had six carries for 17 yards and one reception for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 27-23 victory over the Cardinals.
A trendy late pickup with starting running back Josh Jacobs uncertain for Week 7 due to an illness and calf injury, Wilson played a season-high 34 percent of the snaps as Green Bay's starter saw a lighter load than usual. However, Jacobs still got the bulk of the touches and scored both of the Packers' rushing touchdowns on the day. Wilson remains merely an insurance policy in case Jacobs sustains any sort of setback.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Four touches in win
Rotowire
Wilson rushed three times for 11 yards and caught his lone target for minus-four yards in Sunday's 27-18 win over the Bengals.
Wilson continued to operate as the primary backup to Josh Jacobs in Week 6. The 26-year-old running back played just 11 of the Packers' 61 offensive snaps Sunday, while Jacobs handled 48 snaps. Barring an injury to Jacobs, Wilson remains far off the fantasy radar as anything more than an insurance policy. The Fort Valley State University product will have his next chance to spell Jacobs out of the backfield in Week 7 when the Packers visit the Cardinals.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Week 6 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
Wilson is worth stashing in deeper leagues coming out of Green Bay's bye in Week 5 since he's the handcuff to Josh Jacobs. We'll see what happens with MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) when healthy, but it appears like Wilson is the No. 2 running back for the Packers moving forward. In the past two games against the Browns and Cowboys, Wilson had 14 carries for 69 yards and three catches for 37 yards on three targets. He's worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Racks up 11 touches
Rotowire
Wilson had eight carries for 44 yards and three receptions for 37 yards in Sunday's 40-40 tie with the Cowboys.
Wilson racked up only 29 yards from scrimmage over the first three weeks, but he nearly matched that mark on a 25-yard reception in Week 4 and finished the night with a total of 81 yards. Wilson played behind Chris Books -- and of course, starter Josh Jacobs -- early in the season, but after racking up 17 touches over the last two weeks he heads into Green Bay's Week 5 bye as the clear No. 2 option in the backfield.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Works behind Brooks again
Rotowire
Wilson didn't record a carry or target and had a 27-yard kickoff return in Thursday's 27-18 win over the Commanders.
Wilson played just five snaps on offense, giving him seven through two weeks compared to Chris Brooks' 22 over that span. With Josh Jacobs seeing the vast majority of opportunities in Green Bay's backfield and Brooks next in line during MarShawn Lloyd's (hamstring) stint on IR, Wilson appears unlikely to contribute much this season.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Highly efficient with six touches
Rotowire
Wilson rushed five times for 33 yards and brought in one of two targets for 32 yards in the Packers' 23-19 preseason win over the Colts on Saturday afternoon. He also lost a fumble.
Wilson remains locked in a battle for the No. 2 running back job with MarShawn Lloyd, and the former was clearly the more efficient of the two on the ground Saturday. Wilson entered the game after Lloyd and took his first carry with 14:40 remaining in the first half, going on to record his 32-yard reception two plays later and eventually ripping off nine- and 11-yard runs. However, Wilson also short-circuited the second possession he was in on with a lost fumble at the Packers' 38-yard line, setting up a Colts field goal. Wilson has never lost a fumble across 152 regular-season touches in his first two seasons, however, so the miscue shouldn't affect him in the job battle with one preseason game still remaining.
