Dolphins' Kenneth Grant: Labeled week-to-week by coach
Grant (undisclosed) is considered week-to-week, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The 2025 first-rounder is sidelined for the time being as the regular season approaches in just under a month. Grant's absence coincides with Zach Sieler's week-to-week issue, which puts a spotlight on Miami's interior defensive line depth for the remainder of training camp.

Dolphins' Kenneth Grant: Room for growth after rookie year
Grant tallied 33 tackles (15 solo), including 2.0 sacks, across 17 regular-season appearances with the Dolphins in 2025. He also had one pass defensed.
Grant, a 2025 first-round pick, struggled early in his rookie season but showed some flashes down the stretch. Despite his improvements late in the year, the former Michigan standout never quite developed into a reliable starter for Miami's interior defensive line, with his struggles against the run being especially disappointing considering Grant's 6-foot-3, 335-pound frame. If Grant is able to take a step forward in his development under new head coach Jeff Hafley this offseason, though, he'll have clear path to opening 2026 as a starter alongside Zach Sieler.

Dolphins' Kenneth Grant: Healthy for Week 1
Grant (undisclosed) did not appear on the Dolphins' injury report Wednesday, Travis Wingfield of the team's official site reports.
Grant has been dealing with an undisclosed injury over the last two weeks, but he is now back to full health before Week 1. The 21-year-old will likely operate as the top reserve option behind Benito Jones and Zach Sieler on Miami's defensive line in Sunday's regular-season opener versus the Colts.

Dolphins' Kenneth Grant: On track to play Week 1
Head coach Mike McDaniel relayed Monday that Grant (undisclosed) is not in danger of missing the Dolphins' regular-season opener against the Colts on Sunday, Sept. 7, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.
The 2025 first-rounder has been working through an undisclosed issue, which prevented him from playing in the Dolphins' preseason finale against the Jaguars on Saturday. The nature of Grant's injury isn't clear, but his practice participation over the next two weeks will provide clarity on his chances of making his NFL regular-season debut in Week 1. He should see a heavy dose of rotational snaps at defensive tackle alongside presumptive starters Benito Jones and Zach Sieler.

Dolphins' Kenneth Grant: Labeled day-to-day by coach
Grant (undisclosed) is day-to-day, coach Mike McDaniel said Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Grant may not suit up for Saturday's preseason finale against the Jaguars, but his day-to-day label suggests the rookie first-round pick isn't in any danger of missing the regular-season opener against the Colts on Sept. 7. Grant will likely contribute on the interior of Miami's defensive line out of the gate.
