Dolphins' Kevin Coleman: No targets in loss
Coleman played 27 offensive snaps and saw no targets in Sunday's 35-13 loss to the 49ers.
Coleman played 46 percent of the Dolphins' offensive snaps in the blowout loss. The fifth-round rookie appears to have taken a back seat to Malik Washington, Caleb Douglas (ankle) and Chris Bell. Coleman could see an uptick in usage in the team's Week 3 game against the Chiefs if Douglas cannot play due to his ankle injury.

Dolphins' Kevin Coleman: Held without catch in NFL debut
Coleman failed to bring in either of his two targets during Sunday's 27-13 loss to Las Vegas.
Malik Willis missed on both of his pass attempts to Coleman late in the fourth quarter. Coleman's 16 snaps on offense were fourth most among Dolphins wide receivers, and the rookie fifth-rounder figures to operate in a rotational role on offense behind Malik Washington, Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell. Coleman will look to record his first NFL catch in a Week 2 tilt against the 49ers on Sept. 20.

Dolphins' Kevin Coleman: Team's leading receiver in preseason loss
Coleman (undisclosed) caught two of five targets for 32 yards in Saturday's 26-3 preseason loss to the Giants.
Coleman had previously dealt with an undisclosed injury that caused him to miss some practice time, but the rookie fifth-round pick suited up Saturday and paced the team in targets and receiving yards. The Dolphins rested their starters and got an ugly passing performance out of the backups, as Coleman was the only player on the team to exceed 12 receiving yards in the game. Coleman seems to be running well behind rookie third-round pick Caleb Douglas, as well as the more experienced Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell. Fellow rookie WR Chris Bell (knee) could also factor into the mix whenever he's cleared for game action.

Dolphins' Kevin Coleman: Misses practice Friday
Coleman missed Friday's practice due to an undisclosed injury, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The rookie sixth-round pick doesn't seem to have made much noise early on at training camp, while third-round pick Caleb Douglas reportedly was one of the standouts at Friday's session. There's still time for Coleman to make his case for a role this summer if the injury he's dealing with doesn't turn out to be serious.

Dolphins' Kevin Coleman: Scooped up by Miami
The Dolphins selected Coleman in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 177th overall.
Coleman played for four different schools during his four-year college career, which ended in 2025 with Missouri, when he posted 66 catches for 732 yards and one touchdown across 13 games. He served primarily as a slot wide receiver and had the explosiveness to beat the first man, and his experience as a punt returner could earn him playing time in his rookie season in the NFL. Coleman is the third wide receiver selected by the Dolphins in this year's draft, joining Texas Tech's Caleb Douglas and Louisville's Chris Bell.
