Titans' Kevin Winston: Back in action
Winston (hamstring) participated at practice Thursday, Buck Reising of 104-5 The Zone reports.
Winston finished his rookie season on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, but he appears to be back to full strength now. The third-round pick played 10 games (four starts) last year and finished with 34 tackles (21 solo), 1.0 sacks and two pass breakups. With Xavier Woods out the door, Winston will compete with Tony Adams for the starting free safety job.

Titans' Kevin Winston: Placed on injured reserve
The Titans placed Winston (hamstring) on injured reserve Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Winston suffered a hamstring injury in the first quarter of last Sunday's loss to the 49ers and was unable to return to the contest. With the movement to IR, the slot cornerback's season is done, as the four-week minimum period will include the end of the regular season. Marcus Harris will likely finish out the season as the slot cornerback for the Titans' defense.

Titans' Kevin Winston: Won't return vs. San Francisco
Winston (hamstring) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the 49ers, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Winston sustained a hamstring injury in the first quarter, and he will be sidelined for the rest of Sunday's game as a result. Marcus Harris, Micah Robinson and Kaiir Elam are all candidates for more defensive snaps in Winston's absence.

Seven of Winston's eight total tackles came in the first half, with a 10-yard sack of Trevor Lawrence during the Jaguars' first offensive drive serving as a highlight. It was the first sack of Winston's NFL career, and the rookie third-rounder has played every single defensive snap in the three games since the Week 10 bye, accumulating 24 tackles (13 solo) over that span.

In just his second career start, Winston led the Titans in tackles while playing every single defensive snap.
