The Browns found an heir apparent to Nick Chubb in the form of Judkins, who profiles quite similarly analytically. However, a domestic battery incident kept Judkins out of the early days of Browns training camp and may result in a suspension that could impact his availability for the start of the season. Selected as a top-40 pick -- ahead of TreVeyon Henderson -- Judkins received strong draft capital to complete one of the top rookie profiles. Over the past 10 seasons, 12 RBs have been selected between picks 20 and 40 in the NFL Draft. All but three from that group averaged at least 12.1 PPR points per game as a rookie, a number that would have ranked as RB25 in Fantasy in 2024. That sounds good, but Judkins' off-field transgressions have made him much less of a "safe" pick in what has been a suspect system for running backs. Chances are he will split reps to some degree, most likely with Jerome Ford, and his best part of his rookie year might not come until the end. Judkins is worth considering starting in Round 8, but it'll take a patient Fantasy manager to get him and then wait for him to make an impact.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Signing on hold
Rotowire
While Judkins won't face any charges stemming from a July 12 incident in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., he and the Browns have been unable to reach a deal and may not do so until the end of any NFL investigation, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com in a statement last Thursday, an NFL spokesperson noted that the league has been "following developments in the matter which remains under review." With the 2025 second-rounder's signing currently on hold, the Browns' top available backfield options ahead of the team's preseason finale are Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Charges not filed
Rotowire
Prosecutors have declined to file a formal misdemeanor battery charge against Judkins stemming from a July 12 incident in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
As a result of the incident, Judkins was arrested on a domestic violence and battery charge, but Andy Slater of FoxSports640 notes that prosecutors have declined to move forward with the case. Judkins, who the Browns selected in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, remains unsigned ahead of Saturday's preseason game against the Eagles, with NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy noting Thursday that the league has "been following developments in the matter which remains under review."

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Training camp absence continues
Rotowire
GM Andrew Berry acknowledged Thursday that the Browns may not see Judkins on the field at training camp for a while, the Associated Press reports.
Judkins, whom the Browns took in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, remains unsigned after he was arrested July 12 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on a charge of battery and domestic violence. In reference to the rookie running back's status as training camp proceeds, Berry noted Thursday, "In terms of those decisions, signing, being at camp and everything like that, it's honestly probably too early to make any type of determination. So as we gather information, we'll have a better view on that," while adding "sometimes the information comes a little bit more slowly, but we're still in probably the information-gathering stage with him."

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Not signed for camp
Rotowire
Judkins remains unsigned and won't report to the Browns' facility with other rookies Friday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
He's one of the many unsigned second-round picks, with players and teams at odds over guaranteed money. The Browns won't necessarily be in any rush here, considering Judkins was arrested last week in Florida for domestic violence charges.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Arrested in Florida on Saturday
Rotowire
Judkins was arrested on strike/battery/domestic violence charges in Florida on Saturday morning, Brad Stainbrook of 247Sports.com reports.
Judkins was selected No. 36 overall by Cleveland in April's NFL Draft. He's the only member of the Browns' 2025 Draft class who has not yet signed. Cleveland rookies are slated to report next Friday, July 18, though it's unclear if Judkins will be present given his contract and legal situations.
