Browns' Quinshon Judkins: First 100-yard rushing game
Rotowire
Judkins rushed the ball 23 times for 110 yards in Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Vikings. He added one reception on two targets for 18 yards.
Judkins' takeover of the Cleveland backfield continued, as he accounted for 23 of 29 rush attempts by running backs. Even with plenty of attention from the Minnesota defense, Judkins ripped off long runs of 32,14 and 14 yards on the ground to top 100 rushing yards in a game for the first time in his career. Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson will take away some opportunities as a pass catcher, but Judkins has a reliable workload and has been very effective through four games as a pro.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: May see larger role Week 5
Rotowire
The Browns are expected to lean more on Judkins in Week 5 against the Vikings, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. Cleveland's game against Minnesota on Sunday kicks off at 9:30 a.m. ET in London.
The Browns are switching quarterbacks this week with rookie Dillon Gabriel replacing Joe Flacco. The state of Cleveland's offense dictated the QB change, but the problems in the passing game still exist, which indicates a more conservative, run-focused game plan. Starting an untested rookie could result in a greater reliance on Judkins, whose snap count and workload increased each week since his debut in the second game of the season. He had a season-high 21 carries last week against the Lions and could see that number increase.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: RBs to Start
Rotowire
Judkins looked impressive in the past two games against Green Bay and Detroit, scoring at least 16.5 PPR points in each outing. We'll see what the Cleveland offense looks like with Dillon Gabriel making his first NFL start against Minnesota in London, but I'm trusting Judkins against the Vikings. Kenneth Gainwell just scored 31.4 PPR points against Minnesota in Week 4, and Judkins should be the catalyst of the Browns offense in this matchup. He's a borderline No. 1 Fantasy running back in Week 5.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Stands out as No. 1 back in win
Rotowire
Judkins rushed 18 times for 94 yards and a touchdown while bringing in one of two targets for one yard in the Browns' 13-10 win over the Packers on Sunday.
Logging his first official NFL start, Judkins set the tone for his second productive performance in as many career games with a seven-yard gain on the Browns' first play from scrimmage. The rookie second-round pick would go on to add a game-long 38-yard run shortly before the halfway point of the fourth quarter, and he then powered in for a one-yard touchdown later in the period that erased a 10-3 deficit. Judkins already looks like a bona fide No. 1 back, and he could see his workload bump up a notch following another week of practice ahead of a Week 4 road matchup against the Lions.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Slated for starting role Sunday
Rotowire
Judkins is on track to serve as the Browns' starting running back Sunday against the Packers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
After being added back to the Browns' 53-man roster for Week 2 after sitting out the Week 1 loss to the Bengals due to his late signing, Judkins technically started in last Sunday's 41-17 loss to Baltimore, but he still finished second among Cleveland running backs in snaps. Jerome Ford (35 snaps) led the way while Judkins (20) narrowly outpaced Dylan Sampson (17), but Judkins made his mark during his time on the field, carrying 10 times for 61 yards while adding three catches for 10 yards on three targets. After a strong professional debut followed by a trio of full practices this week, the rookie second-round pick will draw his second straight start Sunday, but this time he could supplant Ford as the lead option in the Browns' three-man backfield committee. While Judkins should be in line for an uptick in touches, he could have difficulty finding much open running room versus a Packers defense that held the Lions to 2.1 yards per carry in Week 1 and the Commanders to 2.7 YPC in Week 2.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: RBs to Sit
Rotowire
Judkins looked good in his NFL debut in Week 2 at Baltimore with 10 carries for 61 yards and three catches for 10 yards on three targets. He did that with no training camp and minimal practice prior to facing the Ravens, and he should continue to improve as the season goes on. But I would only consider him a flex option at best in Week 3 against Green Bay. The Packers so far have limited the backfields for Detroit and Washington to 32 carries for 78 yards and no touchdowns. Now is not the time to throw Judkins into your lineup in most leagues, but that could happen sooner rather than later based on what he showed us in Week 2.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Likely to play limited snaps Sunday
Rotowire
Judkins (personal), who is officially questionable for Sunday's matchup against Baltimore, will likely be available to play on a limited snap count, but the Browns eventually expect him to settle into a starting role, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The Browns used a second-round draft pick in April on Judkins, so it's no surprise that they envision him eventually ascending to the top of the depth chart. The Ohio State product navigated a legal issue throughout training camp and didn't sign his rookie contract until last Saturday, so he's understandably not ramped up to a full workload. All expectations are that Judkins will be able to play Sunday, though, and Rapoport suggests that the rookie will "have the snaps of a backup running back." Dylan Sampson and Jerome Ford should also be part of the backfield mix Sunday, but they could both cede snaps to Judkins if the latter takes hold of the starting role as soon as Week 3.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Officially activated for Sunday
Rotowire
Judkins (personal) was activated to the 53-man roster Saturday and is expected to make his debut in Sunday's game versus the Ravens.
The Browns were granted a two-game roster exemption for the 2025 second-rounder ahead of Week 1, but they'll officially bring Judkins on board for Sunday's divisional clash. At the time of this report, Judkins is still listed as questionable, although his activation puts him on track to play. Judkins made his first practice appearance since June when he joined the team on the field Thursday, so it's unlikely that he'll be ready for a full workload. He figures to mix in behind fellow rookie Dylan Sampson and veteran Jerome Ford.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Week 2 status TBD
Rotowire
Judkins is viewed as questionable to play in Sunday's game against the Ravens, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
In terms of Judkins' chances of suiting up versus Baltimore, coach Kevin Stefanski told Oyefusi on Friday, "We'll work through that over the next 24 hours. ... I do think he's in good shape." The Browns were granted a two-game roster exemption for the 2025 second-rounder ahead of Week 1, with Zac Jackson of The Athletic noting that the team has until Saturday afternoon to activate Judkins and make a corresponding roster move to pave the way for him to be able to play against the Ravens. If Judkins is active Sunday, he'd bolster a Cleveland backfield that was led last weekend by Dylan Sampson and Jerome Ford.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Won't practice Wednesday
Rotowire
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski noted that Judkins, who is not at the Browns' facility and won't practice Wednesday, is expected back with the team Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer previously reported that Judkins is in line to be interviewed by the NFL this week regarding his domestic battery charge under its personal conduct policy. According to Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram, that meeting is taking place Wednesday. Stefanski didn't comment on that topic Wednesday, noting that the Browns are taking it day-by-day with Judkins, with the team having been granted a two-game roster exemption for the running back after he didn't sign his rookie deal with the team until this past Saturday.
Judkins officially signed his rookie contract with the Browns on Saturday and has been granted a two-game roster exemption.
Judkins' two-game exemption will allow him to practice with the team without counting against the 53-man roster for up to two games, meaning Cleveland won't be required to immediately cut a player in a corresponding transaction. The rookie second-round pick won't be eligible to play until the exemption is lifted, however, and all expectations are that he won't be in consideration to suit up Sunday versus the Bengals. Judkins' exemption provides him a window to get up to speed after having sat out all of training camp and the preseason, after which he'll join a backfield that also houses Jerome Ford, Dylan Sampson and Raheim Sanders. Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com confirms that the NFL's investigation into Judkins for a potential violation of the league's personal conduct policy is still ongoing, and that his four-year, $11.4 million rookie deal is fully guaranteed.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Agrees to deal with Browns
Rotowire
Judkins has agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the Browns, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Per Cabot, Judkins -- who is set to ink his contract Saturday -- is not in line to play Sunday against the Bengals, but once the 2025 second-rounder is ready to join the lineup, he'll bolster a Cleveland backfield that also includes Jerome Ford, Dylan Sampson and Raheim Sanders. Cabot adds that the NFL is still reviewing Judkins' domestic battery case even though it was dropped, while Tom Pelissero of NFL Network notes that the Browns are expected to get a temporary roster exemption (that can last up to two games) for the running back, who would then be able to practice but not play until the exemption is lifted, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Could be signed soon
Rotowire
Judkins, who still hasn't signed his rookie deal with the Browns, could be back with the team as early as this week in advance of Sunday's regular-season opener against the Bengals, Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com reports.
Cabot believes that if Judkins were to sign and report to team facilities, he could even contribute Week 1 in some capacity. The NFL is still reviewing the July 12 incident in which Judkins was arrested on a domestic violence and battery charge under its personal conduct policy, though charges against the 2025 second-rounder have been dropped. Cabot also states that the ongoing dispute between Judkins and the Browns over his yet-unsigned rookie contract relates to language surrounding guarantees. Even if Judkins' situation with the team gains clarity soon, he's missed all of training camp and the preseason and would have to ramp his way up before handling any sort of significant role. Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson are positioned to lead Cleveland's backfield Sunday at home against Cincinnati.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Signing on hold
Rotowire
While Judkins won't face any charges stemming from a July 12 incident in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., he and the Browns have been unable to reach a deal and may not do so until the end of any NFL investigation, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Per Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com in a statement last Thursday, an NFL spokesperson noted that the league has been "following developments in the matter which remains under review." With the 2025 second-rounder's signing currently on hold, the Browns' top available backfield options ahead of the team's preseason finale are Jerome Ford and Dylan Sampson.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Not signed for camp
Rotowire
Judkins remains unsigned and won't report to the Browns' facility with other rookies Friday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
He's one of the many unsigned second-round picks, with players and teams at odds over guaranteed money. The Browns won't necessarily be in any rush here, considering Judkins was arrested last week in Florida for domestic violence charges.

Browns' Quinshon Judkins: Arrested in Florida on Saturday
Rotowire
Judkins was arrested on strike/battery/domestic violence charges in Florida on Saturday morning, Brad Stainbrook of 247Sports.com reports.
Judkins was selected No. 36 overall by Cleveland in April's NFL Draft. He's the only member of the Browns' 2025 Draft class who has not yet signed. Cleveland rookies are slated to report next Friday, July 18, though it's unclear if Judkins will be present given his contract and legal situations.
