Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Two catches in Week 3 loss
McMillan brought in two of five targets for 17 yards in the Panthers' 21-18 loss to the Browns on Sunday.
The Panthers' No. 1 receiver fell victim to a Browns defense that played aggressively for the second straight game. Cleveland brought pressure on Bryce Young throughout while recording a trio of sacks and picking him off once, and McMillan's production suffered as a result. McMillan's catch and receiving yardage totals tied for and qualified as the second-lowest figures of his career, respectively, making it an all-around forgettable afternoon for the second-year wideout. McMillan and the rest of the Panthers offense will look to regroup and atone for the stumble in a Week 4 primetime home showdown against the Lions next Sunday night, and McMillan will be in line for an even heavier workload than usual if Jalen Coker (quadriceps) is unable to suit up.

Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Clears century mark in win
McMillan brought in five of 10 targets for 101 yards in the Panthers' 34-3 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
McMillan's yardage total comfortably paced the Panthers on the afternoon, and the second-year pro also led the team in targets while checking in as the runner-up in receptions. He's posted five catches apiece in each of his first two games of the season and parlayed them into a solid 176 receiving yards on 18 targets, all numbers that only serve to further cement his status as an integral component of Carolina's air attack. McMillan will next take aim at the Browns' inconsistent defense in a Week 3 road matchup next Sunday.

Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Salvages day in second half in Week 1
McMillan caught five of eight targets for 75 yards in Sunday's 59-37 loss to the Bears.
In the highest-scoring Week 1 game in NFL history, McMillan had just one catch for 14 yards in the first half, but he was able to pad his numbers after halftime as the Panthers' offense tried in vain to keep pace. Jalen Coker (8-138-2 on nine targets) was Bryce Young's favorite target on the afternoon, but he and McMillan were the only two Carolina wide receivers to catch a pass in the contest, a good sign for the future volume of both. McMillan will look to build on this performance in Week 2 on the road against the Falcons.

Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: In line for more slot work in 2026
Coach Dave Canales suggested Wednesday that McMillan will work out of the slot more this season, Sheena Quick of Fox Sports Radio 1340 reports.
If preseason usage means anything, it would seem Canales was putting the plan into action this summer. After playing just 15.3 percent of his regular-season offensive snaps out of the slot as a rookie, McMillan was in the slot on nine of 22 snaps (40.9 percent) across two preseason games. Moving to the slot more would give the 6-foot-5 McMillan significant size and speed advantages inside and allow for more easy "layup" style catches to get the ball in his hands quicker. The 2025 Offensive Rookie of the Year figures to be the center of Carolina's offense this season after posting 70 catches for 1,014 yards and seven scores across 17 regular-season contests last season.

Panthers' Tetairoa McMillan: Two grabs against Jags on Friday
McMillan caught both his targets for 25 yards in Friday's 34-17 preseason win over the Jaguars.
The Panthers' starting offense played the entire first quarter, and McMillan helped set up the team's first touchdown of the night with a pair of receptions from Bryce Young. McMillan is the clear top downfield option in Carolina after a rookie campaign in which the eighth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft recorded a 70-1,014-7 line on 122 targets over 17 regular-season games, before hauling in five catches on seven more targets for 81 yards in a wild-card loss to the Rams.
