Cooper (undisclosed) reverted to the Jets' injured reserve Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Cooper was let go by the Jets on Thursday, but he'll go on IR after going unclaimed off waivers. That means he'll be forced to miss the entire 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Jets.

Cooper's set to miss the 2025 season after this move. The cornerback out of Oregon State spent time with Baltimore's and Seattle's practice squads in 2024.

Jets' Ryan Cooper: Claimed by Jets
The Jets claimed Cooper off waivers Sunday.
Cooper had spent time this offseason with both the Seahawks and Dolphins prior to being waived by Miami on Saturday. He will now spend the remainder of the summer competing for a spot on New York's final roster and look for a chance to make his NFL regular-season debut.
