Lions' Loren Strickland: Logs full practice Wednesday
Strickland (thumb) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Strickland was unable to suit up for the Lions' regular-season opener due to a thumb injury, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. Expect the 24-year-old to play primarily on special teams as the Lions face the Buccaneers in Week 2.

Lions' Loren Strickland: Won't play Sunday
Strickland (thumb) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Rams, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Strickland failed to practice all week due to a thumb injury, so being ruled out for Detroit's regular-season opener Sunday comes as no surprise. Expect Brandon Joseph to assume the reserve safety role with both Strickland and Ifeatu Melifonwu (ankle) likely sidelined.
