Cowboys' Devin Moore: Placed on IR, designated to return
Moore (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Cowboys on Sunday with a designation to return, Nick Eatman of the team's official website reports.
Moore was dealing with a groin injury in early August, and it's unclear if he is dealing with the same issue now or something new entirely. The cornerback will now be forced to miss at least four contests to open the regular season while on IR. Moore will have to wait until at least a Week 5 Thursday night matchup against the Buccaneers on Oct. 8 to make his NFL regular-season debut.

Cowboys' Devin Moore: Back at practice Thursday
Moore (groin) was an active participant at the Cowboys' training camp practice Thursday, Tommy Yarrish of the team's official site reports.
Moore was sidelined with a groin injury throughout the past week, but he was able to work back into practice Thursday. The cornerback was selected in the fourth round of this year's draft, and he now appears likely to make his debut with Dallas on Saturday against the Seahawks in the team's preseason opener.

Cowboys' Devin Moore: Dealing with groin issue
Moore (groin) did not participate during the Cowboys' training camp practice Thursday, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports.
It's not clear when Moore picked up the injury, and there's no timeline for his return at this point. Until he's back to full strength, Josh Butler and 2024 fifth-rounder Caelen Carson are candidates to see an increase in reps on the boundary at practice.

Cowboys' Devin Moore: Snagged by Cowboys
The Cowboys selected Moore in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 114th overall.
Moore is a big cornerback out of Florida whose 6-foot-3, 198-pound frame and 4.5 speed give him the chance to establish himself as a starting press-heavy boundary corner in the NFL. With tall, long-armed corners like Moore and 2025 third-round pick Shavon Revel on the roster, it would seem Dallas plans to run a lot of press man coverage going forward.
