Falcons' Darren Hall: Welcomed back by Atlanta
The Falcons signed Hall on Thursday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports.
Hall was drafted by the Falcons in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The San Diego State product appeared in 31 games (10 starts) over two years but was cut in training camp in August of 2023. He most recently played with the Cardinals, starting two games in 2025. Hall will add depth to the Falcons' secondary and likely needs to contribute on special teams.

Cardinals' Darren Hall: Cleared to play Week 17
Hall (concussion) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Bengals.
An independent neurologist has cleared Hall from the league's concussion protocol, giving the fifth-year corner the green light to return Sunday from a one-game absence. Hall could start at outside corner if one or both of Max Melton (heel) and Will Johnson (thumb/chest) is unable to play.

Cardinals' Darren Hall: Won't play against Falcons
Hall (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Arizona's beleaguered secondary will be without Hall, Max Melton (heel) and Jalen Thompson (hamstring) against the Falcons. Hall will need to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol to have a chance to return in Week 17 against the Bengals.

Cardinals' Darren Hall: Misses another practice
Hall (concussion) did not practice Thursday, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Hall has now missed back-to-back practices to begin Week 16 preparations. He appears to be trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's game against the Falcons. Hall will need to fully clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol before returning to the lineup.

Cardinals' Darren Hall: Back on Cardinals' active roster
The Cardinals signed Hall from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Hall has mostly served on special teams, but he could see some work in the secondary Sunday due to injuries to Will Johnson (back), Garrett Williams (ankle) and Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (ankle).

Cardinals' Darren Hall: Absent from injury report
Hall (hip) was not listed on Wednesday's injury report, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Hall sustained a hip injury in Arizona's preseason finale against Denver. The 2021 fourth-round pick appears to be over the injury and should be good to go for Week 1 against the Bills on Sunday. Hall last saw NFL action in 2022 with the Falcons, during which he recorded 45 tackles (29 solo), three passes defended and one fumble recovery across 17 regular-season games.

Cardinals' Darren Hall: Won't return Sunday
Hall will not return to Sunday's preseason game against the Broncos due to a hip injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Hall will finish the game with eight tackles (four solo), bringing his total across the Cardinals' three preseason games to 17 tackles (11 solo). He did not play in 2023 after being waived by the Falcons at the end of training camp. The 2021 fourth-round pick signed a reserve/future deal with Arizona in January, and he is competing to stick around on the Cardinals' 53-man roster in a depth role in the secondary.

Falcons' Darren Hall: Continues strong play
Hall recorded seven tackles (three solo) during Sunday's 19-16 loss to Pittsburgh.
Hall has started seven straight games, but after recording just 10 tackles through his first four starts, he's posted at least seven stops in three straight appearances. As long as Casey Hayward (shoulder) remains on IR, Hall figures to continue operating as the top cornerback opposite A.J. Terrell.

Falcons' Darren Hall: Set to make second straight start
Hall is expected to make his second straight start in place of Casey Hayward during Sunday's matchup against Carolina, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Hayward was placed on IR ahead of Week 7, and Hall stepped up as the starting cornerback opposite A.J. Terrell, recording six tackles while playing all 66 defensive snaps. However, Terrell (hamstring) will also be out for Week 8, making Hall Atlanta's top healthy cornerback. It remains unclear who'll start opposite Hall against Carolina, but it appears like the second-year corner out of San Diego State will be tasked with matching up against DJ Moore on Sunday.
