Bennett Williams: Returns from injury
Williams (undisclosed) tried out for the Buccaneers on Monday, Howard Balzer of GoPHNX.com reports.
The safety's tryout came about two weeks after he got waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement by the Dolphins. Williams went undrafted out of Oregon after posting 72 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles in 2022.

Bennett Williams: Gets cut loose
Williams (undisclosed) was waived from injured reserve by the Dolphins with an injury settlement Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Williams linked up with Miami after going undrafted out of Oregon. His injury details are unknown, but as soon as he's healthy, he'll be able to sign with another team.

Dolphins' Bennett Williams: Injured reserve bound
Williams (undisclosed) was placed on IR on Thursday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Williams was waived with an injury designation on Wednesday, and he's since reverted to the Dolphins' IR. The 24-year-old will now be forced to miss all of Miami's 2023 season unless he works out an injury settlement with the team.

Bennett Williams: Let go by Miami
Williams (undisclosed) was waived by the Dolphins with an injury designation Wednesday.
Williams will revert to Miami's injured reserve if he clears waivers. Unfortunately for the the young safety, his injury is probably significant, and he'll most likely miss the entire season if he's going on IR. The 24-year-old began his collegiate career at Illinois before transferring to the College of San Mateo and then to Oregon, where he was Pac-12 All-Conference honorable mention in 2022.
