Victor Dimukeje: Parts ways with San Francisco
The 49ers released Dimukeje (undisclosed) from IR with an injury settlement Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Dimukeje found work with San Francisco in mid-August but landed on injured reserve Aug. 27. He was able to work out an injury settlement with the 49ers, so he's eligible to play during the upcoming season once healthy. Dimukeje logged just 16 defensive snaps over five games with the Giants last year, but before that he made eight starts among 55 regular-season appearances with Arizona across his first four NFL campaigns.

49ers' Victor Dimukeje: Heads to IR
Dimukeje (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the 49ers on Thursday.
The linebacker signed with San Francisco on Aug. 17 and appeared to be healthy again after missing the end of the 2025 campaign with a knee issue. It's unclear if this injury is related. Dimukeje would need to reach an injury settlement with the 49ers to have a chance to play in 2026.

The linebacker suffered a knee injury and landed on the Giants' injured-reserve list last December, but his July tryouts with the 49ers and Vikings indicated that he was healthy again.
