Jeff Thomas: Cut by Patriots
Thomas will be waived by the Patriots, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Thomas, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent, is a player who figures to land on the Patriots' practice squad should he go unclaimed on waivers. The Miami product has some untapped upside, so we wouldn't be surprised if he sees regular-season snaps at some point down the road this season.

Patriots' Jeff Thomas: All clear Wednesday
Thomas (leg) was spotted as a full participant for Wednesday's practice, Mark Daniels of the Providence Journal reports.
Thomas suffered a leg injury during Friday's practice, and the injury forced him to miss more time over the weekend. Now healthy, Thomas will look to gain some more momentum in training camp to secure a roster spot in 2020.

Patriots' Jeff Thomas: Not spotted practicing Sunday
Thomas did not participate in Sunday's practice, Phil Perry of NBCSports Boston reports.
Thomas reportedly suffered a leg injury Friday, the severity of which is still keeping him off the field. The undrafted rookie out of Miami (Fla.) managed to garner some positive buzz during the early days of training camp, but his chances of winning a roster spot will be negatively impacted if he's held out of practices for a significant amount of time.
