Detroit is finally getting healthy again in the secondary, so Maulet gets the boot from the 53-man roster. The 32-year-old cornerback has appeared in six games for the Lions this season, producing 14 tackles (11 solo) and two pass breakups, including one interception, on 105 defensive snaps.

Maulet logged a 50 percent defensive snap share in his second game as a practice-squad elevation for the Lions. The veteran cornerback made a big play late in the second quarter when he intercepted a Baker Mayfield pass that was originally ruled a Cade Otton reception before being overturned upon review.
