Giants' Breon Borders: Catches on with Big Blue
The Giants signed Borders to a contract Sunday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Borders was a member of the Falcons during training camp in 2023, but he wasn't able to make the 53-man roster. He last played in 2022 with the Bears, when he played nine special teams snaps in Week 18 against the Vikings. Borders' most productive season came in 2020 with the Titans, when he recorded 27 tackles (22 solo), five passes defended and one interception across six regular-season games. His special teams experience could help him nab a depth spot on the Giants' 53-man roster, or at least catch onto their practice squad at the conclusion of training camp.

Breon Borders: Tries out with Panthers
Borders had a tryout with the Panthers on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Borders was suspended for two games by the NFL in June for an undisclosed reason. He spent training camp in Atlanta, but was let go. The 28-year-old is now free to look for a fresh start.

Falcons' Breon Borders: Shines in preseason opener
Borders (suspension) recorded five tackles (two solo) and an interception, which he returned 26 yards for a touchdown, during Friday's preseason contest against the Dolphins.
Borders was suspended by the NFL for the first two regular-season games of 2023 due to an undisclosed reason at the beginning of June, but that didn't stop the the Duke product from making a strong impression during Atlanta's first exhibition. The 28-year-old journeyman appeared in just one game for Chicago last year and is looking to carve out a role in a revamped secondary, which is currently without two of its top cornerbacks in Jeff Okudah (ankle) and Clark Phillips (leg).

Falcons' Breon Borders: Reportedly draws two-game suspension
The NFL has suspended Borders for the first two games of the coming season, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.
Borders, who signed with the Falcons earlier this week, is thus not slated to make his regular-season debut with the team until at least Week 3. The cornerback, who turns 28 next month, had been a candidate to compete for a depth role in Atlanta's secondary.

Breon Borders: Cut by Arizona
Borders was let go by the Cardinals on Sunday.
Borders was signed by the Cardinals ahead of Week 17, but he was sidelined for the game after testing positive for the virus. He made his debut for Arizona in Week 18, recording three tackles across 17 defensive snaps. His departure suggests that the Cardinals are confident Marco Wilson (shoulder) will be available for Monday's wild-card matchup against the Rams.

Cardinals' Breon Borders: Back from COVID list
Borders was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
The 26-year-old tested positive for COVID-19 on Dec. 28, missing the team's Week 17 game against the Cowboys. Borders will return to the lineup in time to play against the Seahawks in Week 18 and get back into form ahead of the Cardinals' incoming playoff run.

Borders (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Howard Balzer of SI.com reports, which was a result of a positive test, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Borders was recently signed after starting the season with the Titans. He'll have to clear protocols before he can make his Cardinals debut, either Sunday against Dallas or in Week 18 against the Seahawks.

Titans' Breon Borders: Drawing positive attention
Borders has been noticed for his strong play early in training camp, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
The Titans overhauled their cornerback corps throughout the offseason, as both Malcolm Butler and Adoree' Jackson departed. The team signed Janoris Jenkins and drafted Caleb Farley (back) to replace the duo, with the latter facing an uncertain timeline to return to the field. Farley's absence has left roles somewhat ambiguous and Borders has seemingly taken advantage. On Friday, he broke up a pass from Logan Woodside that was intended for Racey McMath.
