  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Totals 12 yards Week 8

Hill gathered in his only target for six yards and rushed twice for six yards during Sunday's 23-3 defeat versus the Buccaneers. Hill played his fewest number of offensive snaps this season with five. The 35-year-old has seen very limited playing time in his first four games since returning from a torn ACL four weeks ago, averaging 8.8 offensive snaps per game. He's also averaging just 3.5 touches per game, and he has not totaled over 15 yards in any of his four contests. Unless Hill sees a sharp increase in red-zone touches, he won't be worth any consideration by fantasy managers going forward. The Saints face off with the Rams in Week 9 on Sunday.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Activated from PUP list, still questionable

The Saints activated Hill (knee) from the reserve/PUP list Saturday, but he remains questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants. Hill thus is eligible for his first game action since tearing the ACL in his left knee Week 13 of last season after being a limited participant in practice during the entirety of Week 5 prep. On Wednesday, he was spotted working mostly with the Saints quarterbacks but also with the tight ends, so he appears set to handle his usual gadget role in the offense, assuming he's made active about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: In line to return Sunday

Hill (knee), who remains on the reserve/PUP list, is expected to be active Sunday against the Giants, The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. The Saints are required to activate Hill from the PUP list by 4:00 p.m. ET on Saturday in order for Hill to have a chance to suit up for the first time since tearing the ACL in his left knee Week 13 of last season. Once that occurs, he's listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game, meaning his status will receive clarity about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Questionable, but still on PUP list

Hill (knee), who remains on the reserve/PUP list, is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Giants, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Hill is in the later stages of his recovery from the torn ACL that he suffered Week 13 of last season, having logged limited practices since he was designated to return from the PUP list earlier this week. The Saints are giving him a chance to play Sunday, but first they'll need to activate him by 4 p.m. ET on Saturday and then not include him on their inactive list in order for him to make his season debut. Fellow tight end Foster Moreau (knee, reserve/PUP list) is in the same boat, while Juwan Johnson (ankle) -- who is on the active roster -- also is listed as questionable.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Another limited practice

Hill (knee) was limited in practice Thursday. Hill is working his way back from the torn ACL he suffered in his left knee Week 13 of last season, having logged back-to-back capped sessions after the Saints opened his 21-day window to practice after opening the campaign on the reserve/PUP list. At Wednesday's practice, he was spotted working mostly with the quarterbacks but also with the tight ends, according to Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football. Friday's injury report will reveal whether or not Hill has a chance to return to action Sunday against the Giants.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Limited as practice window opens

Hill (knee) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday. After missing the first four games of the season, Hill has resumed on-field work as the Saints officially opened his 21-day window in which to practice and eventually be activated from the reserve/PUP list. His activity Wednesday included drills primarily with quarterbacks but also with tight ends, per Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football. Hill thus seems poised to operate in his previous roles around the Saints offense once he completes his recovery from the torn ACL that he suffered in his left knee Week 13 of the 2024 campaign.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Placed on reserve/PUP list

The Saints placed Hill (ACL) on the reserve/PUP list Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Hill will be required to miss at least the first four games of the regular season due to his placement on the reserve/PUP list, after which point New Orleans will have the option of opening a 21-day window for him to resume practicing. The transaction is no surprise, given that the 35-year-old is recovering from an ACL tear suffered Week 13 of last season. Both Hill's expected timetable to return, and the role he'll play in new head coach Kellen Moore's offense, remain to be seen.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Undergoes successful surgery

Hill (knee) recently underwent surgery, and he's expected to make a full recovery, John Hendrix of SI.com reports. Hill tore his left ACL in Week 13 against the Rams. With surgery complete and successful, the veteran tight end will work to return to action next season. Hill's current contract with New Orleans runs through the 2025 campaign.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Tests confirm season-ending injury

Hill is on track to miss the remainder of the season after tests Monday confirmed that he sustained a significant left knee injury in Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Though a precise diagnosis of the injury likely won't be provided until interim head coach Darren Rizzi addresses the media, Hill's knee issue apparently is severe enough to sideline him for the final five games of the regular season and any potential playoff run that might follow. The 34-year-old Hill suffered four season-ending injuries during his collegiate career, but he's mostly been able to avoid extended absences since entering the professional ranks as an undrafted free agent in 2017. Hill had proven to be a versatile weapon for the Saints this season, contributing on special teams while also handling a variety of assignments on offense. He'll conclude the 2024 campaign with 278 rushing yards, 187 receiving yards on 23 catches and two completions for 21 passing yards while scoring six touchdowns over his eight appearances.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Getting tests on knee injury

Interim coach Darren Rizzi didn't have an update on Hill's (knee) status after Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams but revealed that Hill will go for additional testing on the injury, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. Hill's knee injury looked severe, and he needed a cart to get off the field, but the exact nature of his injury will be clarified after the results of his additional testing become known. The versatile offensive player has been a key contributor as both a pass catcher and a runner in recent weeks, so it would be a big loss if Hill is unable to suit up against the Giants in Week 14.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Carted off field Sunday

Hill was carted off the field due to a leg injury during Sunday's game versus the Rams, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. In the middle of the fourth quarter, Hill took a helmet to his left knee and remained on the turf afterward. The nature of the injury isn't known, but he likely will end Week 13 action with five carries for 10 yards and five catches (on seven targets) for 37 yards.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Sleeper TEs

Hill could be the best Saints receiver and second-best rusher in Week 10 against the Falcons, with Chris Olave (concussion), Cedrick Wilson Jr. (shoulder), Kendre Miller (hamstring), and Jamaal Williams (groin) all dealing with injuries. In Week 9 at Carolina, Hill had four catches for 41 yards on five targets, and he also added five carries for 19 yards and a touchdown. He scored 16 PPR points, and the only other time he's scored double digits in PPR points this season was Week 4 at Atlanta when he had six carries for 24 yards and two touchdowns. Given the situation in New Orleans, Hill is worth starting in all leagues.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Compiles 60 total yards in loss

Hill secured four of five targets for 41 yards, rushed five times for 19 yards and a touchdown and threw an incompletion on his only pass attempt in the Saints' 23-22 loss to the Panthers on Sunday. Hill filled his usual multi-purpose role and found his way to new season highs in receptions and receiving yards partly due to the exit of Chris Olave with a concussion in the first quarter. Hill also recorded his third rushing touchdown of the season on a seven-yard run in the second quarter, and he fell just short of reaching the 20-yard mark on the ground for the third straight game. The versatile veteran could see his involvement as a pass catcher remain slightly elevated during a Week 10 home matchup against the Falcons if Olave isn't able to clear concussion protocol in time for the contest.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Week 9 Waiver Priority List

Hill returned in Week 8 against the Chargers after a three-game absence with a rib injury. He should continue to play a variety of roles for the Saints, and he might fall into the end zone against the Panthers in Week 9. It's not a bad idea to stash Hill -- or stream him against Carolina if needed -- to see what he does now that he's back to 100 percent. He's worth adding for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Logs full practice Thursday

Hill (rib) practiced fully Thursday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports. This marks Hill's first uncapped session since he emerged from Week 4 action with rib fractures, thereby paving the way for him to return to action Sunday at the Chargers. Fellow TE Juwan Johnson (shoulder) has been limited in practice so far this week, so there's a chance Hill could act as the Saints' top option at the position if the former doesn't gain clearance to suit up Week 8.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Not playing Thursday

Hill (ribs) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Broncos. After sitting out Weeks 5 and 6 due to rib fractures that didn't allow him to practice in advance of those contests, Hill was listed as limited on all three of the Saints' Week 7 injury reports. In the end, though, a doubtful designation forecast inactive status Thursday, which has come to pass. Juwan Johnson and Foster Moreau will continue to handle the bulk of the TE reps while Hill is sidelined.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Absent from practice

Hill (ribs) wasn't on the field for Tuesday's practice, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports. New Orleans listed Hill as a limited participant Monday on its initial Week 7 injury report, but his activity level was downgraded a day later. He'll likely need to get back on the field in some capacity Wednesday to have any chance of playing in Thursday's game against the Broncos. Hill has missed the Saints' last two games while tending to multiple rib fractures.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Ruled out

Hill (ribs) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Matthew Paras of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. Had he been healthy enough to play, Hill might have taken on a larger role than usual with Spencer Rattler filling in for Derek Carr (oblique). As is, Hill's next chance to play is Thursday against the Broncos, with a lack of practice participation this week suggesting he isn't especially likely to be ready on a short week.

  • Saints' Taysom Hill: Still not practicing

Hill (ribs) didn't participate in Wednesday's walk-through practice. On the heels of Monday's loss at Kansas City, the Saints didn't hold a full session to begin Week 6 prep, but Hill still was listed as a non-participant for a fourth consecutive injury report due to the rib fractures that he sustained Week 4 in Atlanta. He'll have two more opportunities this week to mix into drills before New Orleans potentially makes a ruling on his status for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
